I came in good faith, told you my background of being a large McCain republican that has moved left since then.
Attack and attack and attack, I say eff it I’ll play your game back, you get what you give.
I came with respect and looneys said I’m an alt account commie.
I’m here to see the differing views, discuss politics, and talk about the other side of the coin of issues I diss agree with.
If your world view is so fragile you can’t handle it then it makes sense why you retreat in weakeness the confines of your own echo chamber.
Is English your first language ?

I only ask because I’ve noticed your posts don’t indicate a very good working command of it.

You’re either a complete idiot or too poor to pay enough taxes to realize what the current Trump tax cuts did for the Middle Class. I have said several times and will say again that I saved over $2500 the first year it went into effect. I did all the calculations vs the old Obama tax rates using the exact same figures. It absolutely was a tax break for everyone and not just the billionaires. Dems know how stupid their base is and get away with this BS every single time. Can’t wait to hear them explain why they think no tax on tips and SSI is going going to hurt the lower and middle classes. Am sure they will and their sheep will believe every word of it. Meanwhile, I do not see them fighting to close all the loopholes their wealthy donors continue to use to pay as little as possible.

Democrats don’t really understand the way the SALT deduction worked before AMT. it was a benefit for the ultra wealthy. Most middle and upper middle class taxpayers had the benefit wiped out by AMT.

All that to say, over the past few years small businesses have been getting their asses kicked by the increasing limitation on business interest deductibility as interest rates skyrocket, declines in the ability to immediately write off capital expenditures and the nonsensical requirement to capitalize research and development expenses.

Has congress fixed any of that? No. Because democrats have held America hostage and refuse to give any tax breaks that don’t restore SALT deductions for their ultra wealthy constituents, as well as increase welfare handouts to their nonworking constituents at the other end of the spectrum.

Over the past 8 years, nothing has made the true democrat disdain for the middle clsss more clear than their stance on tax policy.

Just a collection of anti-working class assholes.

Bet they’d sprint to vote for free shit for illegals.
In the U.S., undocumented immigrants generally do not have access to most public healthcare programs like Medicaid, Medicare, or the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace coverage. However, there are a few exceptions and certain healthcare services they can access:

  1. Emergency Medical Care: Federal law (Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act or EMTALA) mandates that hospitals treat anyone in an emergency situation, regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.
  2. Community Health Centers: Federally funded community health centers provide care to all individuals, including undocumented immigrants, regardless of their ability to pay. These centers offer services such as primary care, vaccinations, and screenings.
  3. State-Specific Programs: Some states offer limited healthcare benefits to undocumented immigrants, particularly for children and pregnant women. For example, California and New York have expanded health coverage for undocumented residents through their own state-level programs.
  4. Charity Care Programs: Some non-profit hospitals and organizations provide care to undocumented immigrants, often on a sliding fee scale or at no charge based on income.
  5. Public Health Services: Undocumented immigrants can receive certain public health services, such as vaccinations, tuberculosis treatment, and disease prevention, especially when there is a public health concern.

About 21% of Americans receive Medicaid assistance. The vast majority of that money goes to the poor and not the middle class. Within that pool of money spent there is extensive waste and fraud which can be cut without hurting the needy. Think of pill mills and Russian mafia owned clinics fraudulently billing the government and then closing shop before they can be audited.
I believe I've shared this story before...

My mom is on Medicaid (she's a stroke victim and wheelchair bound) and lives in a nursing home.

I received a call one morning that her Medicaid account had a CREDIT of $16k, and it had to be spent ASAP. When I asked the nursing home rep "where did this come from?", she literally laughed and said "it happens all the time". Medicaid sent her 16k... for no reason at all.

We actually tried to send it back... Medicaid wouldn't accept it.

Bottom line: I spent 16k on stuff she didn't need... including gifts to her favorite son (lol).

Don't tell me the fed govt is efficient.

You are like talking to the most brain dead boomer leftist who waits to be told what to think.

Why didn’t we see you come over here when the press was caught colluding with the DNC in 2016? Why didn’t we see you over here when Hillary’s camp had a dinner with media networks she invited to help “craft the message” and excluded Fox?

Why didn’t we see you over here when Biden was hidden away or given notecards on who to call on to ask questions with pre-approved questions and talking points?

Why didn’t we see you over here when your press is routinely caught lying and intentionally misleading/editing?

You’re utter garbage and none of these people are legit journalists. They’re the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

doesn’t surprise me either.
The lie that large business are ultra efficient gets told more then that.
Let’s continue to improve the system, I don’t think you want Medicaid coverage of your loved ones reduced.

You work so hard to denigrate your fellow country man. If you’re told only to believe your view point of political preference you’re trying to be corralled and controlled.

Medicaid is a key source of coverage for children, adults in poverty, and nursing home residents.
In 2023, Medicaid covered:
Nearly 4 in 10 children
Over 8 in 10 children in poverty
1 in 6 adults
Almost half of adults in poverty.

How bout raise taxes on billionaires instead of the poorest of the poor??
This is gonna put us in a debt that destroys America.

This will also be a huge tax on poor/ middle income families with elderly family members in nursing care.

This budget is BS!!!!

Iirc Medicaid goes to people either disabled (if they don't qualify for disability, which is a different title) and the poor (ie qualified for food stamps or other assistance). Im pretty sure there is either literally no cost or virtually no cost.

Even more, for healthcare they have either no uncovered costs or virtually none.

By contrast, medical providers get reimbursed sh!t by Medicaid but get prebill and post bill audits out the a$$.

Different variation of the same theme: if a medicaid recipient comes into any money that exceeds their cap, they can spend it all before the next month and retain Medicaid.

So if they get an inheritance, personal injury settlement, or any other "windfall", they literally go on a spending spree instead of using that money to improve their circumstances.

Because they make like $2 an hour. A restaurant can't pay its servers and such $15 an hour and stay in business more than a month.
No I understand that. I waited tables in college and got paid like $2.30 an hour plus tips. Worked at a decent restaurant and probably made an additional $15-20 an hour in tips. So I averaged $17-22 an hour and was taxed on all of that. If I read the bill correctly, tips won't be taxed. So therefore in my scenario, I would only be taxed on my $2.30 from the restaurant and the tip money would not be taxed?? If that is correct, I think that is inherently unfair. The server earned that money through their job. They weren't doing anything extra; they were fulfilling their obligations. Just don't think it's fair to the cook in the back who makes $17 an hour, doesn't receive any tips and is taxed on the full amount

In some places, the server has to provide a small percentage of their tips to other staff members (cook, hostess, etc). If it bothers you that much, then don’t tip when you go out to eat.

If income should be taxed, tips should be taxed. But I’m not going to get mad that some people grinding for tips are (legally) not paying taxes if they change the law.

I’d rather see more income escape taxation.

You missed the entire point. Fine it they have to tip out to those people, then that should be taxed also. I have never heard of a restaurant requiring servers to tip out to the kitchen. Hostess and bartender, yes. Line cooks at decent restaurants usually make decent money (well above minimum wage) because they are good at their jobs. As are as not tipping, why in the world would I not tip? I am aware that servers make most of their income from tips, so to not tip would be an @ss move

Unless it's the Obama or O'Biden administration... as documented many times.

You were NEVER a moderate or republican. Lmao
Why of course he was a sensible and financially conservative and socially liberal Republican who would’ve voted for Kasich and definitely not a Democrat citing off Democrat talking points while wearing the mask of an “independent” and “impartial” person.

This board has never seen anyone do that before. That’s for sure.

😂

My personal favorite is “I was Republican until (insert January 6, Trump, or whatever latest thing DNC trots out).”

No, I didn’t miss your point. You believe they should be taxed. That’s your stance on the topic.

Thanks for CONFIRMING what we already said, that Medicaid isn't used by the middle class. You were wrong. Again.

And AGAIN, SCIENCE DUDE, billionaires don't PAY income tax. They don't earn wages.

I notice you don't moan about Obamacare, which already nearly DESTROYED the middle class. Oh no. That's okay because OBAMA did it.

Hypocrite.
You're an idiot if you think middle class people are not affected by Medicaid cuts.
What happens to a middle class family when Medicaid doesn't cover the necessary medical expenses or nursing home expenses of an elderly or disabled family member??? Who's gonna pick up that tab fool??
If not for Medicaid, I would have been out thousands of dollars for my mom's brief stay in a nursing home with a terrible infection she had. She needed 24/7 skilled nursing care that would have been cost prohibative.
This budget is total grift by the billionaires. Stealing from the poor to pay the rich.
Azzholes.
And you idiots cheer it on to your own demise. Dumb as hell.

Even the fake news CBS can’t hide it. 😂

Gonna be great when crops are rotting in fields and the building industry freezes up.
The economy is already slowing down since Trump was elected.

I don't know how you tip, but when a waitperson goes above and beyond; gives excellent service, then I tip more than what would normally be considered a fair tip. Conversely, if I receive terrible service, I don't tip quite as well.

The cook in the back making $17 gets that whether he has a good performance or bad.

Servers don't do anything extra?

If you can't differentiate the difference between a cook and a server, then this topic is way over your head to begin with.

The most offensive part of the Republican budget resolution is an extra $300 billion for border and defense.

There’s no reason we need to spend more money as opposed to better utilizing what is already authorized.

Yet the lefties are going to keep bitching about “tax cuts for billionaires” that are actually for the middle class, and reforms for prep grams that are hot beds of fraud. Because those are the talking points they’re fed.

The $300 billion of extra spending is indefensible. But that benefits the establishment so the lefties aren’t getting this talking points.
