So you would agree they attacked the Ukraine because Biden and the left is/was weak as hell right?
I think from your profile name and pic you’re prior service, so thank you for that.
I agree that Biden AND Obama were too soft on Russia, the left wants to play policy games while Russia keeps taking what they want.
Georgia (2x), crimea, the first incursions into ukriane, and then the Ukraine war.

Trump talked a big game that it wouldn’t have happened under his watch, so I hoped he would come in and threaten the hammer in Russia to show he means if, but unfortunate he’s done the opposite of appeasement, and has yet to talk about Putin like he has talked about our allies leaders.
Our allies who bled with us in Iraq and Afghanistan while Russia was paying bounties on soldiers heads and funding Iran and Syrian militias against us.

I was a George bush and John McCain republican, this soft ass approach to a country that wants us weak as hell on the global stage sickens me.

"I know they were treated very badly by Sleepy Joe Biden, but the Trump Administration is very different — Easy approvals, almost immediate start! If not them, perhaps another Pipeline Company. We want the Keystone XL Pipeline built!"

The company is TC Energy. They proceeded under Trump, but were halted under Biden."

Do yall normally just copy and paste lies or do you ask if it sounds outrageous, it might be outrageous, I should click around a bit before I share fake news.

Because we all agree fake news is bad, and people that intentionally lie to us are only trying to manipulate us. Right?
Look in the mirror, you have already posted fake news and stuff here.

We’re putting tariffs on Canadian oil there’s that.
But more importantly we’re coming off the largest us production of oil in American history into an administration that is going to promote drilling. We don’t need to pipe it from Canada anymore.

Maybe you forget, but it DIDN’T happen under Trump’s watch. And Biden did nothing to get the war ended, but he did give Ukraine untold billions while also getting kickbacks through his family.

Maybe give Trump more than about 5 weeks of being in office before you declare his efforts to end that war a failure?

A lot of pressure to show returns quickly from all the chaos. Doge has been sloppy in their r self reporting so far.
This stuff is easy to fact check, doge has an opportunity to make an impact, but if they’re blatantly fudging their numbers out the gate that chews up a lot of good will.
Just like any org with power, with great power comes great responsibility. They need to operate with that weight.
I don't think they are fudging the numbers, I think it is all the first numbers coming in before they can delve further into it. One of your posts saying it is not billions, but millions was also incorrect, and you can look that up too. It is still billions, but they have reeled it back to a few billion so far instead of the 55 billion that was first reported. The numbers will continue to change as they go further into it.

Some people who were let go/fired have been rehired once they realize that some should not have been on the hit list. I believe they are using some sort of matrix to identify problems which uses a broad range and then, they correct those who were unintentionally or undeservingly caught up in the mix.

I hope he proves me wrong my friend I do.
He promised it would be over by now, just like he said it wouldn’t have happened under his watch.
It’s time for him to back it up by pushing Russia back.

The largest item in the initial roll out was listed in the billions and then was quickly debunked to be in the millions. That’s the large example I was using.

And I believe that federal employees should be treated with enough respect and understanding that they should not be fired and then rehired back because doge didn’t understand their role well enough.
1 that’s hugely inefficient and disruptive of govt
2 that’s just a dick move, these are our neighbors just trying to do their jobs not some deep state employee.

Yes there is fat, and let’s trim it, but let’s not throw the baby out with the water trying to own the libs. Republicans own the executive branch and house and senate. They have time to do it right.

I get the distinct feeling you’re just here to argue or try and play contrarian. Seems like we’ve had a few other users in the past who enjoyed doing the same thing.

As for Trump, anyone with an ounce of common sense knows he’s quite prone to hyperbole, so when he said he’d end the war in a few weeks or whatever it was, I think most knew it wouldn't be done in a few weeks. But he does seem closer to ending it than our last President got in four years. Though based on the comments I’ve read from you tonight, you’d just say that Trump simply appeased Russia (or did what Putin wanted him to) if the war ended tomorrow.

Wait, I thought it was "her body, her choice?" 🤔
It is ultimately but a real man has influence and 99 percent of women will keep a baby if the man is in the picture and committed to raising the child with her.
Problem is there are many that hit and then forget it.

@warrior-cat if you want. This article has the mention about the largest number being wrong,

Because we ALL know that CBS is completely honest when it comes to their reporting on Trump.

And I’m a bit convinced we’ve seen you around here before, just not sure which account you’re a sock for.

They don't have time to do a person-by-person investigation (not feasible). They have too large of numbers and must try to figure it out from there.

As far as Trump, you are like many others out there not giving him enough time to get the job done before questioning and or bashing him. He has only been there a month. At least give him a year in the 4-year term before bashing.

"Here are some of the worst takes on DOGE from our least experienced citizens.

1. "DOGE should use a scalpel, not a chainsaw."
2. "The cuts need to be more thoughtful."
3. "DOGE is lowering morale among the affected."
4. "DOGE is creating chaos."
5. "DOGE is how Musk will rob the country."
6. "Musk was not elected."
7. "DOGE needs to be more transparent."

If you find yourself tempted to say any of those things in public, I recommend taking the week off of social media."

Speaking of DOGE and Russia.
Always Russia. Russia. Russia.

I just like to come through from time to time to get the different points of view then my own, and provide counterpoints to some of the posts echoing around the chamber in here.

I understand your point about hyperbole, but he has emphatically made this point consistently through his campaign, but I understand your point.

If the war ends tomorrow with the front line frozen and no reparations or concessions from Russia then yes I would be very disappointed. Russia would have security in their supply lines and begin to rebuild their war machine to once again try to finish the job. (4th times the charm!)

2025 has long been projected as a challenging point for the Russians, their recruitment goals have begun to be missed. But mainly their stockpiles of old
Tanks and artillery have been projected to be pretty much exaushted at the end of the year.
What was/is needed is for Russia economy to continue to suffer and the Russian oligarchs and people both get really discontented.
Putin still feels he has the edge and that’s why they have continued to press on, he has no fear of the status quo, I hope Trump can change that.

Go to the DOGE site and get it from them. They have receipts and line by line items. CBS would tell you anything they want you to hear.
A lot of people have done that. And that’s why it’s being reported.

I’m sorry my friend, but we can’t just tune out the truth.
Doge will find more savings, but the initial posting was a crap show and casts doubt on their capabilities and honesty.

I'm wondering when "the view" will get dropped, or a couple panelists get dumped... 🤔

We weren't a sovereign nation then dumbass. Hence the "revolutionary" word.

That is a fair point.

It would be a fair point if it took into account the opinion of ALL Ukrainian citizens, but it doesn't. There is no democracy there and won't be. Two of the top 10 regions of Ukraine by population, including THE MOST populated region by far, declared their independence from UKRAINE in 2014 after the revolution that overthrew the previous govt (allegedly orchestrated by US NGOs and others but definitely funded through USAID). Russia recognized their independence, but Ukraine ignored the democratic choice of 6.6M people.

Shortly after this, the Ukraine govt started shelling Donetsk and Luhansk after they asserted their independence. We took the side NOT of democracy but of the bully trying to crush freedom, not unlike what England tried to do to the colonies. After 7 years of this, Russia entered Ukraine.

In 2o22 Ukraine once again ignored a democratic referendum for independence in two addition regions, Kherson and Zaporihzhzia, with total combined population of 2.8M people. All told, nearly 9.4M have had their votes ignored by the govt allied with and implementing a known neo-nazi force in the Azov Battalions.

4 separate regions Voted for independence, and within days the Ukrainian govt invaded their territory.

The question is not what Russia did in 2022 when they formally recognized the independence of these regions, but why in 2014 they voted for independence from a corrupt govt seeking to join NATO, and why did Ukraine simply start shelling these regions rather than negotiate with them.

A lot of people have done that. And that’s why it’s being reported.

Fake

A see we got a flaming leftist here. Always comes in as a “moderate” ends up defending leftist talking point.

DOGE is finding billions in waste, fraud and abuse. The very thing “farmy” loves

Flamer

You are being disingenuous focusing on only a couple of areas. It is a common liberal tactic when showing positive numbers. Point being the numbers are still positive so...

"DOGE claims $55 billion in savings over the first month — but its own ‘wall of receipts’ shows just $7.2 billion"

That is what they have released in receipts so far that have been verified. The larger numbers are probably early findings that need to be verified.

There’s a bit of astroturfing the part where Russian agents crossed over the border and seized the government offices, then held “elections” but not democracy watch organizations were allowed to monitor the process and surprise! Just like Putin wins ever election so did the elections results.

“There were no international observers, no up-to-date electoral lists, and the ballot papers were photocopies. With heavily armed men keeping watch”

For future reference should anyone of the liberal persuasion be confused or just plain stupid on the issue-

If a Republican assaults a woman, she presses charges, and he or she is found guilty in a fair trial, I'm all for them doing time. Always will be.

Dems cannot without qualification say the same

They shouldn’t be releasing numbers as savings on their website if it hasn’t been verified.

Rules for us vs rules for them

I was curious how often domestic disputes where the only witness recents testimony result in charges so I read the link.

Sources familiar with how cases are handled say this type of back-and-forth is not uncommon and may never result in charges.

Oh, so it’s not rules for us vs them. It’s common.

If he hit a woman he should be prosecuted, but I don’t know how you do that when the only witnesses say it didn’t happen.

Not what they are doing. The actual numbers are there on the website. I think they are voicing to the public what the early further numbers are either suggesting or showing.

Bottom line here is that most who really want things to be transparent are getting what they want. They tell you to go to their website and see.

I don't see your reason for attacking them. They are getting it done regardless of if it is 55 billion or just 7.2 billion right now. You are just barking and making noise seemingly to distract from the real problem here for some on the left, Trump and Musk are pulling back the curtain on the wizard and showing America the corruption of the left.
