How much did Trump know about it at the start? How much did they hide from him?

Though I would argue in such a scenario, Vance would have ascended to the top of the ticket and still beaten Kamala.
The images of illegals handcuffed getting on buses and planes in part is shown to Americans to know a respect for the law is back and that promises made are being kept. But the biggest reason the images and videos are all over the place is so migrants around the world see it and know don't come here.

I really question how many will be deported. For me....deport any and all who flooded in the last 4 years...and before. But I seem to sense a shift to deporting 'gangs', etc. even among Republicans, conservatives, etc.
I wonder how far we'll go (Trump, Homan, etc) after the gangs and criminals are all (which they never will get all of them) rounded up and deported.

Somebody the other day posted that they had read/heard the stories of illegals self deporting...but hadn't seen any videos.
At the 11:45 mark of this video he shows what supposedly is a video of the traffic heading towards the border. I saw this yesterday but haven't been able to find any videos of the border like it. This Dr. Turley is pretty good (reminds me of Rush for some reason)...not one to exaggerate, so hopefully this video is factual. Hope so.

That is why Haley stayed in even though she had lost.... She thought they'd kill him and she'd be next up.
