The few times I was on bourbon Street, after hours they have steel bars in the street to prevent this very thing. Were they just not up? Did this truck somehow get around it?

Anyone with half a brain new this was an Aloha Snackbar attack. There have been multiple car attacks all over the western world so this not a surprise. The flag was fairly obvious if you know what an ISIS flag looks like. The cops intentionally covered it up but you can't stop the signal so easily these days thanks to cell phones.
On a picture I saw on X, there’s a “Mac Haik” dealer sticker on the back of the truck. I lived in SW La back in the 90s and Mac Haik was a mega dealer in the Houston area even back then. There may be other Mac Haik dealer locations but I’ll bet this truck was bought in the USA.
You can also see that’s it a Lightning electric truck. These haven’t exactly been selling like hotcakes so it should be pretty easy to track the VIN.
