In the past two weeks alone…
1) You voted for the guy that just pardoned his son for federal gun crimes that he blatantly committed.
2) You also applauded Luigi Mangione for using a gun to kill the healthcare CEO. The left has been discursively championing Luigi as some sort of a martyr.
Not a single word about “common sense gun control laws” from the left in this thread in either case.

I'll address these at once. I think Twitter and its community notes is a great start. I have many problems with social media as a whole and do think it contributes to our hateful natures. Back in 2012, Facebook was making 126 dollars annually from each of its accounts. You wanna make that sort of cash, you better have some guardrails in place of face liability fines, especially when shootings like yesterday occur.
Australia very recently banned all minors under 16 from having social media accounts. That sure would help us stateside to do something similarly.

My reasoning for not getting included was his reasoning.
They fact checked everything I said and he concluded I was factually correct, “yet some wounds take time to heal, and for that Jason from Kentucky is my worlds worst person of the day, and like he said…in his eyes ‘ain’t no Virginia West’”
I consider it an honor.

Hilarious to me there’s not a single article on the front page of WSJ.com about the spending bill Congress is going to ram through. Of course they don’t want to bring attention to it. They’re as bad as any of the other media outlets.
I think it’s a slippery slope. I understand why Trump admin was upset with Dorsey and Zuck. Those companies have an obligation to protect children from violence and abuse and I think there should be protections in place for outright fake news.
