Disagree. Understand your logic and reasoning but I don't agree with your conclusion. Those individuals should not be allowed to stay in the US. Actions have consequences, sometimes unintended consequences and breaking US immigration law is not exempt from this fact.
Drug dealer kids and mob boss kids are 'punished' for their parents' behavior, are they not? Their names plastered all over news outlets, assets confiscated, more than likely the remaining family moves somewhere to be more anonymous, no job, no income, etc. Enforcing the law isn't necessarily supposed to be 'humane'. If so, then we devolve into situational law and order and that's NO law and order because every illegal action can be excused due to the 'situation' (or lessened). Yes, it's unfortunate for the kids and I wish there were some way around deporting them, also. But, the law is the law and their parents broke the law by coming to the US illegally and bringing their children with them. They should all be sent back. Hard hearted, perhaps, but you either enforce the law or you don't and we've seen what happens when you don't.
