When I hear McCarthy was a great fundraiser, I look at all his accomplishments, and it makes clear sense why he was selling out the country. Of course you can raise money when you work for the donors, not the people.
It’s not even about Gaetz per se at this point. Anyone who voted for Garland has no business opposing anyone. Literally, anyone. Anyone who holds personal vendettas against Gaetz or is pissed at him for leading the effort against McCarthy doesn’t have the moral high ground in this.
They supported the AGs who (at best) hamstrung Trump or targeted him as political opposition. Trump has the mandate to select an AG who won’t undermine what the voters put him in office to do.
If Senators oppose Gaetz, fine, but acknowledge it’s due to a personal vendetta and/or not wanting Trump to reform the DOJ. Pretending it’s the moral high ground for these parasites is nauseating.
