I remember in '94 many/most Repubs/conservatives were saying the same thing. Republicans had taken the House for the first time in about 40 years. Clinton was unpopular and his administration was a mess. Rush went on and on the day after the election about it. Well, Clinton won in '96 (weak opponent helped). Senate stayed about the same but Repubs lost seats in the House. But the Republican euphoria didn't last long, especially not a decade or decades.

This time is different, for a host of factors.

This was an existential election for the West and Western Civilization, not just America.
