Andy won't be able to mix it up with the typical DC Dems in debates. He'll have to go heavy-left to compete but I don't think he can. Shapiro has a leg up being in the Keystone state for non-DC Dems.
Shapiro has a leg down with Dims due to his lack of a foreskin. Were he conservative, he's have a good shot with Pubs. Sad all around really.

He said this before the election:

"Preserve your records and pack your bags"

Good luck with the "preserve your records" portion of that. Those crooked sumbitches will destroy everything as they leave.

I think DeSantis would be an awesome President. True leader. But that just me.

He would, especially now that he has handled the Florida disasters (covid/hurricanes) w/ excellence. This year wasn't his time, but he is a natural leader. Vance is solid and fits the VP role nicely, as he has proven, but he isn't ready for the top spot. 4 years may prove different, but he would not have the skills on multiple fronts as DeSantis does. It is DeSantis/Newsom at this stage per many insiders, of course, that is a long way away.

Biden was all smiles today

But who wouldn't be happy when Hitler is coming over...

I listened to the speech live. He sounded better than he has for a long time. I think he is in fact relieved that its over. And based on Jill's wearing a red pants suit on election day....he is thrilled that the Pelosi, Clooney, Shoooomer anointed one lost. He can say that he would have won, then go out into the sunset with your pockets full of the cash that they used to bribe him to move out of the way.

His campaign was sloppy. He even admitted that it could have been much better.

I hope he has a chance in some capacity to be a major player going forward even if not as President. Let's count ourselves lucky that we finally have a formidable list of young options going forward. Something we lacked before.

I love her fake gestures and voice...but really love how she talks about the price for taxpayers to deport people. They only ever mention price when it's a Republican plan. Which he had mentioned the cost of keeping them rent free with benefits.

Former ICE director and Trump ally Tom Homan: What price do you put on our national security?

60 Minutes: Is there a way to carry out mass deportations without separating families?

Homan: Of course there is. Families can be deported together.

You can't discount the job he's done for FL. Who was the last governor who was better? I don't doubt he'd do better in debates in 2028 than he did last time. Plenty more experience.
Concerning Vance vs. DeSantis, I forgot that at this point, Trump likely is to endorse Vance. It would be all over then. But you can have no idea where his mind will be in 3 years. Conceivable Vance could get the "You're fired." move by then.

Once Desantis time is up in Florida, I hope Trump puts him in charge of cleaning up FEMA.

Mostly joking…believe what you believe. Respect.

Property owning and min service record…I’m personally not on board with.
I think property tax mainly on local voting/issues that will affect property tax. A majority that vote for an issue that will make property taxes go up....but they are mostly renters makes no sense to me. They will eventually be affected by it when the rental owners raise rents to cover their added tax burden...but most renters will never make the connection.

Assuming Vance wins 2028, he would realistically need to wait till 2036 as I don't think anybody would primary Vance in 2032 as the incumbent.
Big assumption…obviously a lot can happen. Could be a cycle where the climate wants nothing to do with the Trump administration, could be the opposite.

But yes, will have to either wait four or eight years for anyone.

The DeSantis campaign and Super PAC (NBD) were notoriously chaotic. I’ll share some stories in person at a tailgate.

Very interesting. He ran unopposed so I take it that he is in a very safe district. That said.....Andy will have to appoint his replacement....based on the LAW that he has said he would not follow. Authoritarian?
The law is about appointing a SENATOR replacement. Massie is a REPRESENTATIVE. They are replaced by special elections.

Like I said.. I'm not for going after the politicians but the career people who used their job to go after Republicans.... You need to be held to the letter of the law.
I don’t like going after politicians, either. But, all of the recent, treasonous bs needs to be dealt with, accordingly. You can’t give them a slap on the wrist, or, do nothing at all. A message needs to be sent that this bs won’t be tolerated in this country. And, it has to be strong enough to make any future perpetrators think twice about the consequences. Do nothing or go easy on them & the same thing will happen again, eventually.

223 is better than 221 today. But count on the Crazy Eight to gum things up to slow down change votes. They'll probably start with wanting a different Speaker.
Well, yeah. But 223 would be everything ending up going well for the GOP. Could stay the same or be less. Wish these straggling states could count their damn votes more quickly.

I’m getting married in March to a very liberal chick…she doesn’t want to play a game of chicken on who holds out the longest. She’ll win the battle, lose the war.
Met the Mrs when Clinton was President. While not 'very liberal' she was left of center.
Now....MAGA all for Trump and all his policies.
There is hope.
