We also live in a "bad neighborhood". Our overall crime grade = D+
House is only 1100 sq/ft. 3 BR/2 bath. We've made several improvements over the years. Wife purchased the place in 1984. 10.75% interest rate. We refinanced in 2002 at 4%. It was like winning the lottery. Paid off in 2010 with my separation bonus.
We could have upgraded and moved several times, but preferred remaining here. House sits 1/4 mile from the main bus line. We're content.

I can truthfully say that I have never heard Alex Jones speak, unless it was on a talk/news show etc. and I wasn't aware of who he was. Nor would I recognize him even if we shared a taxi cab.
I really don't feel like looking into the civil cases against him, but I honestly don't see how spouting a mis-guided, and mean spirited kook theory constitutes civil liability. Unless he made a claim like so and so was behind the hoax, ie. naming individual people etc.*

Not sure what you want me to say. It seems like semantics to me. I'm sure that "MAGA", whatever that does or doesn't mean will be voting for Republican Senators etc. in their respective states, and of all the Trump voters I know, and I know a lot of them, absolutely none of them ever say or bring up MAGA, much less own a MAGA hat.

I've been thinking about this. It would take a huge donor or donors (Elon and friends?) to create and fund a viable 3rd party. Preferably, one that is in the middle - not always right or left on every issue, which I believe is where a large number of people reside. However, I also believe there are plenty of voters in both parties who feel their party no longer reflects a majority of their views. If a third part would gain enough ground to compel both of the other parties to compromise we might actually see legislation come from Washington that is good for the country and not just for a political party. We may also see the slow dismantling of the Deep State as both parties would have to woo the middle party (let's go with The Federalist Party for grins) in order to get anything passed.
I won't vote for a Democrat for a national seat but the Republican party doesn't always speak for me, either. I'm not far right (or left) on every single issue. Elon Musk and RFK, Jr don't seem to be, either. A third party would ultimately strengthen this country, imo.
