Hiring or school admission by dei is epically bad on its own, but electing or appointing leaders based on anything other than ability is one of the dumbest ideas of all time.

Most police have shown that they are just order takers and will do anything they’re told. They’re the state’s muscle. They all comply.

As a former military cop who was offered numerous civilian cop jobs (not just me, but as a group-all of us), it is going to get worse. As the conditions of the job get worse, the quality of the applicants will also get worse. I don't pretend to know the answer, but I have worked with enough guys who wanted to be civilian cops to notice trends.

Are you saying you're unaware of which cops take orders from corrupt politicians to do bad things like arresting people during COVID, following them home, coming to shut businesses down who didn't comply to mandates, who raid rival politician's homes, etc?

The entire premise of cops is to be the muscle for the state and that's how they're used by politicians. Look at the video I sent above. Those are all cops who do not imprison Muslim rapists yet arrest you for speaking against Islam. Is that remotely correct? Look how they treated Capitol protesters when they were conservative versus leftist protesters.

I remember police acting on Beshears orders to take plate numbers and although I didn’t agree with it, I know that police are sworn to carry out executive orders at the behest of other sworn officials. I guess our men sworn to serve in our armed forces are just “muscle” hired to take orders.

A great majority of cops are good people, but it’s only a minority of them that is bad.

Do a ride along with a cop on a domestic call. It’s no job for the weak at heart.

I’ll always be unapologetically pro cop and pro military.
