Could be, but there is a point when the hand is overplayed and no one will believe it. The question will be what happens if/when that occurs. If elections turn in to obvious shams, then the country is truly toast.

This is exactly what happened in our election. The right was ahead early and lost late, for very specific procedural reasons. Theirs multiple rounds of voting, ours different mail-in counting procedures. Both were obvious and predicted by anyone with a brain(me), which apparently excludes the rightwingers.
