Could be a way to sneak Michelle in with only a few months of news coverage on her. The longer she remains on the ticket, the more she'd be exposed as simply not being qualified. But if they can prop her up there for just 3 or 4 months before election, they could hide a lot of this, running her campaign on "hope" and "change"

I agree that Biden would be the better opposition for whomever the Rep candidate is, but I think you’re underestimating Trumps draw, and there’s also several other candidates running as independent.
If Michelle runs; the Obama machine will dispense with those independent candidates with the wave of a hand. Obama is ruthless, and the most powerful force in the Democratic party, and he is not about to let Trump get re-elected if there is anything he can do about it. We need Biden to make it all 15 rounds.

The case probably won't be decided on whether or not it applies to the president. Very unlikely they invent a presidential loophole in the 14th when they can just take an easier out like saying individual states don't have the authority to enforce the 14th themselves, preemptively cutting off any other ballot-removal shenanigans. Or something else equally innocuous like creating a more firm standard for 14th disqualification.
