What information are stocks trading lower on? We had that 1100 point gain in the last half hour on Friday after Trump spoke for a total gain of 2K. What happened between Friday and this morning to totally wipe out those gains?
Both times the fed lowered rates over the past few weeks, the stock market reacted very negatively.

You are pathetic. Your hate for a political team to the point you rejoice in harm coming to people is repugnant. I was in line at my office building's little deli today when the Governor of Indiana announced the closing of all restaurants and bars. The look of anxiety on the the face of a couple of the workers was sad.
There are people being seriously hurt by the unnecessary panic being driven here. This virus is not doomsday. Politicians screaming early on that we are not prepared for this and it is Trumps fault was completely irresponsible. Guess what, regardless of who is President, this country nor any country, is prepared for the potential overrun of the healthcare system--government run or private run does not matter.
This is simply about not having the healthcare system get overburdened by too many sick all at one time. But real damage is being done by the media and politicians all for political gain and you seem to rejoice. What a pitiful human being. Is it really that important to you that your political team score a win here?

I hope you are correct. My concern is the impact this will have on people who are service workers out there as this could be devastating to them. Shutting things down for this period of time will have a pretty significant impact on their daily lives.

I've been saying for 3 years that although most conservatives rag on Canada every chance they get, it's much more of a PITA to get into than the US is. Nobody listens.
