I'm in full agreement here. We have centers with hundreds of people in semi close proximity and have not been directed to limit staff, send them home, etc. Shuttering all leisure activities while at the same time allowing normal 9-5 life to proceed as usual seems stupid.
Again, people nonchalantly discussing shuttering businesses while the Democrat front runner is advocating for deployment of the US military on US soil in response to a trumped up flu has me far more worried than any viruses.
What other “crisis” will warrant deployment of the US military?

Trump helped create jobs by spending $1T+ of borrowed money. That isn’t sustainable. It’s like living above your means by running up your credit card debt. Sooner or later things catch up with you and the piper has to be paid.
We were at 4% unemployment at the end of Obama’s presidency. That in historical terms is very good and is considered full employment.
Trump told us he was going to increase mining jobs...there are fewer coal miners today than when he took office.
You can take temporary measures to skew a trend but over time the trend will always prove true.
Tax cuts paired with higher deficit spending again isn’t a sustainable path. Only half of our population pays federal taxes to start so cutting does nothing to help those folks...then when paired by reduced services...services aimed at that half already not paying taxes they become worse off.
Cutting environmental regulations that allow industry to poison the earth is a failure to know and understand history. In the not too distant future there will be calls to reinstate many of those regulations as the effect of the increased poisoning come to light. Wait and see.
You see, Trump isn’t worried about what happens down the road.

The unemployment rate at the end of Obama's presidency in November of 2016 was 4.6% not quite full employment.
Will be very interesting to see if some change their attitudes on borderless globalism, travel entry, and willy nilly immigration after this.

Maybe this is the all-time conspiracy theorist in me, but I am convinced this whole virus was an attack by China because they were in serious trouble with the Hong Kong protests and Trump on trade. They knew our pathetic MSM and Deep State would pick up on it and turn it into the biggest shit storm to take down Trump. If this is all remotely true, God have no mercy on their souls.
As for how it has been handled, if Trump came out early and created panic they would have crucified him. He comes out and tries to keep people calm and he is trashed for not taking it seriously enough. Meanwhile, he instituted the travel ban in China early on and got labeled a racists by the same people now saying he did not do enough. No matter what he does it will not matter. He could come out at 3 today and say he has found a cure and would get ridiculed he did not figure out sooner. There is not another POTUS who would have gotten the private sector to work together with the gov to solve this issue yet its just not good enough in the eyes of Dems and Trump haters.

Obama’s economy was considered to be anemic growth with much of the rise in employment occurring because people left the workforce.
It’s not just that Fuzz has no clue of what he is talking about, it’s that he and his cohorts lack the integrity to stop repeating their ignorant lies and distortions because they don’t care about the truth.
that these sort of people ( Blasio, Pelosi etc) exist in our government is the biggest threat to our nation... contrast that to governors like Newsom and Cuomo who have the courage to do what is right for their people, work together cooperatively with fed govt, and not politicize opportunistically... that should be the norm, not the exception... we have so few people worthy of genuine respect in power.

This thing has probably been around since last fall in China, which means it's been around everywhere, especially Europe and USA thanks to the globalist world we live in.
Hind sight being 20/20, from about September on we heard about how awful flu season was and will be. I suspect a lot more people have had Wuhan Flu than we know or will ever know.
Maybe it is a freak of nature event, but it seems pretty coincidental that this has happened as tides appeared to be going in our favor with the trade deal and Trump appeared to be on his way to re-election.
Whether it's nature or "Made in China"...the world didn't really shut down for aids so I'm not sure what makes this more special.

Because it's not that much more special. It's been a mass hysteria propaganda on steroids due to social media and the MSM, China, Dems, etc, hatred for Trump. I thought the fake impeachment, spying on his campaign, and so many other things were as low as they could get. If what I said in my prior post is even close to being true there really is nothing these people won't do for power.
