I read where in the California primary, a candidate has to get at least 15% of the vote to get any delegates. Now I can see why the big push to get Any and Buttgag out of the race and endorse Biden as the moderate choice. If Bernie were the only candidate over 15%, he would get all of California's delegates and be nearly assured of the nomination. Biden really needs to get to that 15% threshold to force a brokered convention. However, I believe that the voters in California have been voting for several weeks while Biden was left for dead.

In a two person race, delegates are pretty proportional to vote % above the 15%. If it's 90/10, winner take all. For 80/20, they'd be 80/20.
