No not really. Iowa was lower.
Heres NH:

And if nevada is higher, like I said, it's because they did early voting for the first time.

And for all the: Bernie engaging all the young people. He got over 150k votes in New Hampshire in 2016. He only got 70k plus this time, which was still good for the majority of the field but certainly no indication that a wave of ppl are supporting socialism.
You're in denial man. Over 40% of Nevada's record turnout came from people who had never participated before. And they broke overwhelmingly for Bernie. More than double any other candidate. He got 50% of voters 30-44, next closest Warren at 17%. 65% of voters 17-29, next closest Buttigieg at 11%. That's a movement. A socialist one.

Why did East Germany feel it necessary to build the Berlin Wall?
Socialism or communism, which are pretty different, are practically impossible to make work as a single form of government. If the 20th century taught us anything it's how destructive they can be, just like fascism. We're already a capitalist society with socialist programs. I feel for the people who had to live in east Berlin or were trapped there.

I'm genuinely curious, how old are you and why do you support socialism? Have you actually done any research on its history and what about that history is appealing? I'm truly looking for an honest conversation.

My response is they are not good things. East Germany was under the rule of the USSR which was a communistic form of government and also totalitarianism. Under such an arrangement people are told where they will work, how much they will get paid, where they will live, where they can travel to and not travel to etc.

Socialism is not a form of government, it's an economic system that involves economic planning, whereby the government owns and controls the production facilities. Socialistic based economies have largely failed everywhere they have ever been tried.

The Rube Goldberg of countries IMO is China. They realized that socialism was a failed system but they didn't want to give up the communistic rule, so they dumped most of their socialist practices and replaced it with a market based economy, while keeping the hard line communistic government in place.

Were you around when Jamo used to post here? He was SO sure that Hillary was going to win. In fact, he posted that thought so much that he was too embarrassed to ever post again once she lost. You're one of the few opposing view posters on here that doesn't just spew incoherent garbage. I would kind of like for you to stick around. But you should probably learn from Jamo's mistake and not embarrass yourself into oblivion by excessively predicting a Bernie victory. Just a heads up.
