It was mathematicly impossible for the average refund to not go up with a 1 trillion cut. What really matters is the median. If you give a few billionaires a billion dollar tax cut the average goes up and the middle class still gets screwed. Of course that kind of break down won't be known till next year when everyone has moved on to the next outrage.

Joined many others and finally just put Levi on ignore. The dude started posting duplicates of his memes, he posted the Obama Harvard one multiple times. And the last page was just a wall of stupid memes. It's not even entraining anymore to laugh at how dumb some of them are. It's just annoying spamming now. His ratio of an original post and sharing his original thought to posting a meme had to be close to 1:75, and that is me being generous.

100% wrong. Size of A refund is B - A = C where A is the size of your tax bill for the year, B is the amount you paid in during 2018 & C is the refund. So even though A dropped for most people, at the same taxable income in 2018 as in 2017, C would drop if B dropped more than A; i.e., you paid in a smaller amount B than A dropped.
