Remember how a Democratic President rebuilt our economy, had it humming and reducing deficits and debt then handed it to a republican? Remember that GOP President telling us he was going to spend that capital....and did? Remember when the American public tried to tell that same GOP and President we shouldn't invade a country for unproven reasons that actually turned out to be completely false? Remember the heavy price that was paid for being wrong and wasting American blood and treasure in the sands of Iraq? Remember how that same recklessness with economic decisions resulted in a worldwide crisis and near collapse of the world economy and drastic shrinkage of our own economy? Remember how a highly educated black President rescued this country from economic paralysis handed to him and resurrected the economy? You don't? That's why you can't see the ballooning debt and deficits now----your cult like ideology has made you stupid, blind, and corrosive to America.

You can say one thing about liberals. They have NO shame. If I shit post as much as some of them do and were wrong 95+ percent of the time, I'd either re-evaluate how I looked at things or simply go away.

It's a shame we can't apply his rationale towards slavery in the US.

I'm a fifth generation American and my ancestors never owned slaves, but no amount of time will pass that will absolve me.

Omar's wounds are fresh and it's OK that she is a racist.

The real racist are those who call her a racist.

Clyburn came to Omar’s defense Wednesday, lamenting that many of the media reports surrounding the recent controversy have omitted mentioning that Omar, who was born in Somalia, had to flee the country to escape violence and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before coming to the United States.

Her experience, Clyburn argued, is much more empirical — and powerful — than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during World War II and the other violent episodes that have marked history.

“I’m serious about that. There are people who tell me, ‘Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ‘My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her,” Clyburn said. “I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.”

Clyburn said that long talks with former Rep. Norman Mineta (D-Calif.), a Japanese-American who was interned during WWII, gave him a special appreciation for Omar’s experiences. And he rejected the idea that the Democrats’ resolution will single her out for condemnation.

“She won’t be targeted. We’re going to target those people who had her picture on the Twin Towers,”
Clyburn said. “This resolution is going to be inclusive; it’s going to be expansive; and I might just try to add something to deal with that billboard that’s up in Pennsylvania this morning calling John Lewis and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus racists
.”

There is literally an attorney I know who walls around the courthouse and goes in front of judges wearing buttons on his lapel, one of which reads F U 45. I swear, he looks like a gd server at tgifridays. What a fool.

Edit to add: this clown is like 70 years old. I mean, I can understand a young brainwashed college student lamenting the future under the Donald, but a 70 yr old? Hahahah

20,000 jobs in February. Here comes the slowdown.

No, you blithering idiot. The same report you half ass read or partially heard said the reason was the weather. You couldn't tell from the basement, but February was very cold and snowy for the rest of us.

One would also think that the numbers would trend downward at some point because everybody's working.

It's definitely hyperbolic to call someone a blithering idiot for saying the longest bull run ever might be almost over.

You do realize that farmers aren't the only people who benefit from farm/agricultural spending?

Sure they get a check, but that's not the entirety of the bill/policy.

A lot of funding also goes to conservation, forestry, water protection, renewable resources, food stamps, data & research, rural development, ag. education scholarships and grants, wildfire mitigation, Bio-energy, plus a thousand other things...long story short city slickers and all sorts of other folks benefit as well...

and even after all that it still doesn't cost a fraction of the "Green New Deal", education for all, UBI, healthcare for all, and a lot of other more socialistic endeavors...

Not like there's a bill that simply says "farmers get a check"...

That is an astonishing statement...and game-changing logic that they are now on record as using...

He basically said it's time to stop using the past as a crux. The further back the atrocity the less relevant it is today.

Okay, I agree.

Pubs need to hold them to that.

You should read better you blithering idiot. It said the reason the unemployment rate went down was people returning from the shutdown that had temp jobs. The white house is trying to blame it on weather. Hiring was pretty much flat in all sectors including those not affected by weather. Guess how many times the word weather is in the report? Zero.

Rules for thee, but not for me.

Only the Jews and victims of internment camps need to get over it.

That was yesterday and he's already backpedaled. You misheard what he really said:

"Every student of history, which I consider myself to be, recognizes the Holocaust as a unique atrocity which resulted in the deaths of six million Jews," he said in a statement posted to Twitter. "It should never be minimized; I never have and I never will."

Happy to see you"re excited about it. What's your solution to move the Economy forward and sustain job growth?

Somebody thinks they're not going to get any donations from Bezos, Zuckerberg, or Tim Apple so might as well...

Sen. Elizabeth Warren pushes to break up big tech companies like Amazon and Facebook

"Today's big tech companies have too much power — too much power over our economy, our society, and our democracy," Warren wrote. "They've bulldozed competition, used our private information for profit, and tilted the playing field against everyone else. And in the process, they have hurt small businesses and stifled innovation."

Warren says her plan would have two planks. The senator writes that she would push to pass legislation to designate certain companies "platform utilities." She defines those as "companies with an annual global revenue of $25 billion or more" that "offer to the public an online marketplace, an exchange, or a platform for connecting third parties."

Warren writes:

These companies would be prohibited from owning both the platform utility and any participants on that platform. Platform utilities would be required to meet a standard of fair, reasonable, and nondiscriminatory dealing with users. Platform utilities would not be allowed to transfer or share data with third parties.

Edit: At second glance, I think it's more of a nod to a shakedown.

"You tech companies better know who to support!"

I'll fight behind Pocahontas on this one. For all the reasons I'm opposed to government regulation, I support this. Let's f*ck up the social media companies as hard as we possibly can.

I had not read the actual job report but no, it's not just the white house saying that weather was a major factor. How long do you think we can continue to put 220,000 people per month to work?

You're still a blithering idiot because you pine for the collapse of America simply because you don't like the man who is making it great again.

That’s probably why the ok sign is labeled a supremist thing cuz trump does it all the time
In other news the new marvel movie is out and captain America is a woman , who went public that she doesn’t even want white males to see the movie , the ratings on shill site rotten tomatoes dropped 60percent prompting rotten tomatoes ( a review website mind you)to ban comments and negative reviews ... more censorship. Also coming out soon is a female terminator movie not joking
