I agree. I think the vast majority of the public is fine with cutting fat. But cutting vital services to some of the neediest in the world and then cutting taxes to billionaires and sending everyone else a 5000 dollar check does NOTHING to bring down the deficit. It will wreck the economy with inflation and raise the deficit thru the roof.
