The corruption in Medicare & SS exceeds the entire USAID budget. I mean that's a mere $40B/yr.
I know “journalists” can publish leaked information and are generally protected from liability and disclosing sources.
But if those media outlets were knowingly taking USAID (or other) money and reporting their bullshit for profit, I think Politico et al should be subject to severe civil and criminal liability for what they published.

I don’t think it’s the point you’re making, but every time I see “$40 billion” being a drop in the bucket, I think how Elon “way overpaid” just a little more than that for X, and has subsequently changed the trajectory of our country in a significant way as a direct result of that purchase.

But then again, if they actually had sustainable farms and control over their own food supply, then what influence would our corrupt institutions and bureaucrats have over them?
