The IRS is in the executive branch. Trump's hiring the new head of the agency. He can go in and either start firing people or have people reassigned. They can go office by office or pink slip en masse. I don't care which. But they will do as they're told or be fired. The President of the United States should not be worried about a bunch of data weenies who happen to carry pistols.

No offense but you are missing a lot of the point. It is much more complicated than that. Not worrying about carrying pistols. Worrying about graft and corruption along with sabotage going out once they are made aware. So many things are in place not to steal, kill, and destroy. You have to be fully organized first before execution. And to note, the IRS is not in the executive branch, that is the Department of the Treasury. The IRS is under the Treasury department along with the Bureau of Engraving, the U. S. Mint, and others but those come to mind... Much more complex than just going in and cleaning house. The areas are intertwined.

I am looking forward to watching the fray, seriously. Some will be hurt financially but in many cases it is self-inflicted already.

Awesome post. My wife is a high school counselor and will say that things did change 10 years ago. Most schools have pathways that are geared towards helping individualized student needs.

Our state has a long way to go, starting with putting a vocational school in every county. Our students are shuttled to Garrard and Lincoln. I think the number is also capped at 60 juniors and seniors.

Another great thing to add is that Kentucky congress now allows KEES money to follow students to post secondary vocational schools like Lineman school.

I think there needs to be a huge media and advertising blitz encouraging kids who aren't interested in college or kids in general to explore the skilled trades. A lot of those trades can make people a pretty darn good living. They need to start removing the stigma around these trades that they are dead ends. They most certainly aren't.

I think there needs to be a huge media and advertising blitz encouraging kids who aren't interested in college or kids in general to explore the skilled trades. A lot of those trades can make people a pretty darn good living. They need to start removing the stigma around these trades that they are dead ends. They most certainly aren't.

I remember my wife says something to 8th graders as they schedule that “the average age of a plumber in Kentucky is 58”. It was profound the first time I heard it.

Unfortunately, only about 14% of our upperclassmen can take vocational classes and get certified (excluding some nursing classes). Like I said, I wish all 120 counties had vocational classes available.
