I'm old enough to remember when there was NO immigration....legal or illegal. Can remember them coming up from Mexico (maily) to pick fruit, etc in California and then move from farm to farm, state to state till the season was over...and then would go home. Did a fair amount of traveling/vacations as a kid, high school, college.....and don't recall seeing any foreigners till about '87 when Indians and Mexicans started moving into Atlanta.
Think it was with Reagan (?) where immigration laws were passed (still on the books today) and several were concentrated on American companies who would hire illegals. Large fines and more. No one....Dem or Repub...pay any attention to those laws now. When did big business and the Chamber of Commerce start to usurp these laws? Big political donations? Etc.
Just got done snow blowing the driveway. Had on my headphones. Hannity was on. Too cold to take my gloves off to scan the stations.
