They would be insane to put Newsom at the top of the ticket. I know there's a lot of press help to make him look competent (look at the coverage of him vs DeSantis)...but he may be the worst governor in the country. LA and SF are the only reason he's been able to stay in office, the rest of the state loathes him and he's ran the place into the ground. California's exodus of citizens is unprecedented causing them to lose congressional seats and electoral votes.
