Nope. Those dollar figures are the most accurate for saying what the Feds provide (thx.). That CA & NY choose to spend out their a$$es on state government is irrelevant & thus warp your percentages evaluation. The WY $/person number is so high due to so few people while the Feds still need to still maintain many miles of Fed roads, and all the Fed land there. Net, there isn't a lot of difference per person. End of story.
Wrong again. California and other blue states collect taxes from the businesses and people in their state.
No matter how you try and spin your BS, California's percentage of it's entire state budget used for all the roads, schools, services is covered at a higher percentage BY CALIFORNIA than Wyoming's is.
Why is that so difficult for you to comprehend?? Do you even understand what that means???
Let me explain in simple terms for you. Basically, the federal government subsidizes every state government with a certain percentage of their entire state budget.
The states themselves cover part of it via their own collections and the feds contribute the rest.
If 30 percent of Ky's state budget comes from federal funds and California gets 14.5 percent of its budget from federal funds....that means California is paying for ITS OWN roads, schools, services with half as much help from the federal government as Ky is using.
Red State Federal Aide Teet suckers:
A fifth of state and local government revenues come from federal funding.

Hope you better understand this not very complex topic better now.
You are also not factoring in the huge amount of federal $$$$ Cali is paying into the system vs a cow patch in Wyoming.
