Trump did have to be their nominee because he has captured the base. No one else got any serious look at all. Millions of people aren't going to all simultaneously come to their senses all at the same time and start thinking rationally. They've been snowed and remain snowed. He has them, for most there is no waking up. And they would say the same about you.
You don't have all the evidence the jury did. Obviously they believe he broke the law based on the evidence they heard. It was a unanimous decision by the jury. Not even close.
I think it's accurate that Trump will get a bump out of this but I just don't understand how anyone benefits from today.
If Trump wins in November, we get four more years of bitching and complaining about everyone being out to get you, buddy photo-ops with foreign dictators and proposing half-baked ideas like consuming bleach or nuking hurricanes.
