As a die-hard Weber fan, if you like a kettle you’ll like the WSM. I’ve had both the 18” and the 22” and actually preferred cooking on the 18”. Anymore I smoke almost exclusively on their Summit Kamado, which I love. Hard to go wrong with any of them though.

I'm a charcoal only guy. As much as I'd want a pellett smoker, I just don't have the room. The Blackstone, the kettle, and the WSM take up a lot of room. The pellett offers a user friendly set it and forget it approach. The charcoal smokers is easy to get dialed in just takes a bit to get the learning curve down.

Covid also impacted inflation under Biden due to excess government covid stimulus money, supply chain issues and consumer spending following Covid. All that drove up prices.
Biden also had Ukraine War effecting oil supplies which impacted gas prices.
