That is an issue as well due to higher interest rates and higher prices. Not saying prices didn't go up. They absolutely did....but the economy has absorbed it and adjusted without going into recession like it usually does.
Things are not nearly as rosey or nearly as dire as either party spits out to the public. Overall though, it ain't that bad.

I was audited once, and it was likely due to something of that nature, but with a medical expense deduction. Back in 2009 my profession was one of the hardest hit by the recession. I got laid off due to lack of work at the company I was working for at the time, then used my connections to go into business for myself for a while. I was paying Cobra benefits for my health insurance for a year. over $500 per month. So I Itemized and took the medical expense deduction. obviously that was a huge jump from the previous year so. So if you want to know how they operate, they send you a notice saying we don't accept this, you owe X number of dollars with penalties, either pay it or you can dispute it by doing this, this and this. So I did that, that and that, had to compile every duplicate check, every statement, every, doctors bill, every medical expense I had and send it to them to prove I paid what I paid. I didn't get any legal counsel, I just verified every dime I deducted. They accepted a portion of it and reduced the amount, but I still ended up having to pay something, because they weren't going to let me off scot free.

Last month, IIRC, had a National WIC week. There are more and more females getting into construction. My company has a growing percentage of females. This is not just back office or the reception desk. We have females in project management, estimating, detailing etc... There however not very many women in the field. That said one of our best and brightest field project managers is a female.
I have seen a few south of the border females working on DW finishing crews with their fellow "illegals." Mostly in the Multi-Fam space. But the prime subs in the larger trades, concrete, HVAC, etc.... not so much.
Pro Tip: Females are less inclined to job hop for a buck more an hour than their male counterparts. They generally are more inclined to enjoy their work environment and work/life balance.
I will ask again. What is keeping these protestors inside the walls of these encampments? Are they imprisoned there? I'm sure there's a plethora of food options within a few blocks in any direction. Can't they just step out for a bite to eat or to go to the grocery for supplies? Ever heard of Door Dash or Uber Eats?

When you take a look at leading democrats like Biden with full blown dementia, RFK with brain eating worms, Fetterman with stroke induced mental disability, etc. you start to realize people like sambowieshin are probably just don’t have fully functioning brains, like the people they support.
