They have had about a year and a half to get everyone in line for this circus because they knew they would need it leading up to the midterms. Biden has done worse than they thought he would and now they need something to get the attention off of their party. The war in Ukraine and Russia, Russia, Russia helped a little but bad policies have once again taken center stage with inflation, crime, border "insecurity", actual proof there was voter fraud on a massive scale, and Biden's inability to hold a press conference without showing what a complete moron he is.

We hate raising rents by more than a few points per year for simple COLA, but it finally got to the point this year that we just have to cover inflating costs for maintenance, repairs, appliances, carpets, painting, taxes, everything is substantially more expensive than it was 2 years ago, and even a year ago. We actually had a couple of renters who point blank said they couldn't afford to stay if we increased them, and we agreed to let them keep the same lease terms, as they've always paid on time and we've never had an issue with them. I'm all for capitalism but putting hard working families in that position was outside my level of tolerance.
