You are correct. I didn't look at the date. They got some money but not as much as they were entitled to. Again...I think the freezing of the Go Fund Me is government overreach. The only problem I have had with the trucker protest is their long term shutdown of roads/bridges. Other than that I support their right to protest and think the Canadian government has been surprisingly heavy handed and authoritarian with their counter measures.
Clearing roads and arresting folks is ok....but freezing their assets, go fund me's and closing down restaurants that serve truckers is BS.

Well there is is. Russia takes eastern Ukraine with a stroke of the pen. Pretty much what I was trying to tell @vhcat70 would happen. I don’t know any profession that has exhibited more defensiveness than teaching. They deflect and complain all the time. They act as if they were tricked into becoming teachers or are forced labor. Then they run around acting like no one else could do their jobs. No other profession I can think of acts as much a victim as teachers.
While I respect people who go into teaching and know there are people who have sacrificed to serve in that capacity and who do great work, it’s the whiners who make the profession insufferable.

You can't scream bloody murder about the Canadian government using heavy handed approaches to squash the trucker resistance but cheer when Trump uses the national guard to tear gas and attack peaceful protesters in order to get a photo op in front of a church with the Bible.
I think the Canadian government is dead wrong about some of their approaches to this issue...but I'm at least consistent about calling it out on both sides.
