Then add in the fact that in Kentucky in December that from December 1st thru December 31st that the democrat party in Kentucky lost over 5,500 register voter & the republican party picked up over 5,600 register voters. That's over an 11,100 vote swing in 1 month. If this is going on in Tennessee & Kentucky you know it's going on in a whole lot more states. If democrats aren't able to cheat they're ready to go the way of the dinosaur..... Good riddance.

That's just government on any level. Government's favorite tactic is intimidation. Most people do not want any kind of altercation period, and they will do just about anything to avoid it. Government also like to do first, and ask for forgiveness second. Work for them long enough and that will become SOP for just about anything.
If people would just learn to not be afraid, then this whole thing would just melt away. Would there be some friction? Kentucky has a similar bill that is just as bad. The current culture war du jour around CRT/School Curriculum/student indoctrination or whatever new flavor they want to add to it has gotten way out of control. We have local school boards/districts for reasons. Why are state and/or federal politicians getting involved? I thought most people were for less government intervention.
It's almost like there is an election coming up and the politicians are trying to scare you to the polls to vote for them because they are the only person who can either save you or stop the bad thing from happening depending on where you stand on the issue. Who cares if the legislation they pass is short sited and they have no idea what the actual consequences will be? I am certain the "Global Impact of Bobby Knight" will be a mandatory class in Indiana soon.

They did, but, as I’ve been saying all along, the critical messages were on an encrypted service they couldn’t access. They wanted to prosecute Assange but thought they’d be unlikely to get a conviction without the messages themselves, and the legal bar for criminal conspiracy is so high they would’ve had to prove not only the coordination, but that both Stone and Assange knew it was actually Russian agents the whole time. There are a handful of other reasons they didn’t prosecute every charge, First Amendment issues, the undefined value of the stolen information, etc., but they definitely knew he did it and just prosecuted what they knew they could get convictions on. I agree there should be checks and balances. I mean that should go for a lot of things. However letting it be a 60/40 split in favor of parents who more than likely do not have the proper knowledge or training to determine curriculum seems like a disaster.

Some of the most useless people in a real world application are those that have been a part of academia for decades. How many times did all of us sit in certain classes and directly ask “when are we going to use this?”
Not to mention the toxic elements of education that caused this reaction originated from radicals in academia 20-30 years ago.
Is it really such a bad idea for parents to be heavily involved in curriculum selection? They’re more exposed to the business world than teachers. They likely know more life and employment skills than teachers. For instance, If I were on a curriculum board, I’d advocate for mandatory financial education (particularly in relation to loan interest/debt/college expenses), shop and woodworking classes, and civics classes that have more emphasis on American values and Constitutional education.
Does that sound so bad?
And the crazy part to begin with is that teachers don’t determine curriculum, schools don’t determine curriculum, nor do school districts determine curriculum. Curriculum setting is a state board/department of education piece. And all the states trying to “crack down on those liberal CRT teaching educators” are Republican controlled states. You’d think that if they are controlling state houses and Governor’s mansions, they’d be able to legislate their authority over state education if they were that concerned about it. They're not doing that but instead playing the misinformation and fear game over their flock.
It's illegal for the federal government to distribute drug paraphernalia. Did some fool at some point propose this? Probably. But as soon as higher ups caught wind of it...it was stopped. That's the beauty of a democracy and bureaucracy...
