Which party championed in the system of corporate rule? which party spent every waking moment in DC trying to pass laws to expand corporate power? Which party pushed citizens united up to SCOTUS? Which party worships corporations in the name of the "free market"? Which party fought to dismantle every government agency that tries to fight for consumer rights? Which party pushed though the patriot act, gave us the police state, and quintupled the size of government spying with the DHS in the name of "national security"? It was only when those corporations turned into "big tech" that the GoP leadership started pretending like they cared. they don't.

I'm not a boomer and you didn't answer my questions, of course. The cost of real estate and other goods has nothing to do with CEO pay. It's directly related to inflation which is directly related to mostly liberal runaway spending.

If boomers were so terrible why are liberals still living in their boomer parents basements? Programmers aren't sacrificing their body to earn money like many boomers had to. Many boomers from eky grew up with outdoor toilets and other hardships as opposed to now just playing video games all day. So no, we absolutely do not have it harder.
From far western Ky, but I grew up dirt poor. We had an outdoor toilet and most of our meals were from our garden. I spent many hours as a kid working in our garden and I hate gardens till this day. I often took mayonnaise sandwiches to school for lunch. My folks didn't have any money till we went in business for ourselves. It succeeded with 12 hour days 7 days a week.

Because they can't afford their own houses on the wages being paid like y'all could. We just went over that. Eastern Kentucky has some of the poorest counties in the entire country. That's who I'm advocating for. Our bodies have been used and ground up in the corporate machine for the powers that be for so long. We're a few months away from the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Matewan. Over a hundred years of the boot on our necks. The least we can do is take care of our people. We're the richest country on Earth. But no it takes a public outcry to even pay for the healthcare of 9/11 first responders.

It wasnt a Fox News article, just a screengrab from when he was on the channel. Fox had him on to talk about getting fired for not taking the vaccine. Then he died from not taking it. Hilarious. All he had to do was quit being a baby and get a tiny shot and none of it would’ve happened. The country’s better off without these people.
So the country is better off with everyone blindly complying with the boot of the federal government on their neck. Got it.

I never supported mandates from day one. Still get to laugh at the very definition of hubris. The Greek tragedies have endured for millennia for a reason.

Um, what we affectionately refer to as the 'uniparty'.

Not a bit of difference between Clinton Bush, Obama, Bush, Kerry, McCain, Romney, Clinton.

Thus the fervent ardor for Trump from his fans. Don't know why you can't see this.

Our leadership has sucked arguably since Eisenhower. The elite used us all to get fat and happy on their peacetime hegemony. They profit off the strength of the workers' backs and use it to buy puppets who put on theater for us.

Define productive?

Also If those boomers don't scratch and claw their way through that era, there isnt the base for all the technology used to improve "production"

Finally you're right about cost of the American dream. However instead of focusing that ire on the workers and predecessors, you should focus it on mostly liberal politicians that devalued the currency through massive overspending. That's much more the cause of the current situation than any wage stagnation.
Boomers scratched and clawed? My father was one of those boomers. He had an eighth grade education and worked a factory job while my mother stayed at home. With his eighth grade education and blue collar job, he bought a middle class home, bought a brand new car every five years or so, fed and clothed a family of four, and sent two kids to college. He also had full family employer provided health care and retired with a lifetime pension that was 80% of his working salary. Compare that to today and it’s not even remotely close. Scratched and clawed, I don’t think so.

We’re headed into a recession. There’s no doubt about that. Fed raising interest rates soon to try to lessen the blow of
inflation. People wisely or not are taking on new home loans while the rates are low.
We will be lucky if we get out of this cluster with just a recession. At this point the whole house is being held together with whatever the political equivalent of duct tape and bubblegun is.

That wasn't hubris.

He protested the vaccine because he protested the mandate, let his anger against the governor and the politics of it all to cloud his judgement if he ever was actually amenable to it, not because he thought he knew more than medicine.

What's actually hubris is the people laughing at others unwilling to tkae the shot, only to die to it themself, which also happened on multiple occasinos. That's genuine hubris, in this particular realm of ignorance only rivaled by laughing at another human's death becuase you hate his political beliefs and don't know what real empathy is.

Lots of people have trouble hearing what you're saying because their own experiences were so brutal, as testimonies in this thread show. But we're talking about averages over the entire diverse country so it includes a lot of datapoints. Everyone's circumstances are different. Which is why we need to guarantee a certain basic standard for all of our citizens. The key to humanity's incredible growth over its short time on this rock lies in our ability to share knowledge through teaching and language. To collectively work on problems over more than just one person's small lifetime. The more we can do to unlock that potential the better for all of us. The democratization of education and knowledge is what's led to the all of the scientific advancement we take for granted in modern life. How many Einsteins were lost plowing a field somewhere in the Middle Ages? We need a stable, educated populace that can propel us forward into the future, not one clawing each other's throats out over the meager scraps necessary just to survive to see tomorrow.

And you don’t? You only agree with the ones who tell you everything is peaches and cream.
Dion posted about a guy who defied the “experts” and died. Somebody else posted about a fighter pilot who followed the “experts” and had a myocarditis incident. It goes both ways.
That pilot’s fine btw. Trooper not so much.

I'm not even close to a boomer. The fact people can't afford things is direct relation to liberal out of control spending causing massive inflation.

So your ire is misplaced.

That's the very definition of scratching and clawing. You could've done that too had you went into a trade instead of incurring major educational debt to get a history degree or whatever it was. You and most others just thought you were too good. That's why there is a major shortage of trades people even though they easily make more than 100k per year wit no debt.

Make the sacrifices they made, reap the rewards they reaped. Of course it won't be exactly the same since Democrats destroyed the currency via inflation

I bet most of us on this board agree that corporate CEO’s are over compensated. Guess who those guys back in elections? It’s not conservatives. We’re all getting played. And more government is not the answer. They just line each other’s pockets.

Of course they are but that's not even top 5 of the causes of the problems they list

In the 2020 election cycle donors giving more than $100,000 favored Republicans almost two to one. I think you know who's giving more than 100k. It ain't you or me.

"There's a fundamental difference between Democrats and Republicans," Kavanagh said. "Democrats value as many people as possible voting, and they're willing to risk fraud. Republicans are more concerned about fraud, so we don't mind putting security measures in that won't let everybody vote -- but everybody shouldn't be voting."

That is the GoP right there. everybody shouldn't be voting is the most honest thing a republican has ever said.
Own the GD libs. Go Cats!

If we hadn't lost our guards, we would have beat Auburn as well.
And LSU. Screw a 'we can make a final four'. We are legit maybe hands down the best team in the country if healthy.

Notre dame is solid, especially at home, and Duke isn't bad either.

And Dion is still a communist.

Does that include Zuckerberg giving hundreds of millions for drop boxes and paying people to vote harvest? If you don’t think corporate America is completely in the dems pocket you’re a sap.

You got it backwards. The Dems are in corporate America's pocket. As are the Reps.
