Income/Wealth equates power and there has never been in the history of the world the amount of insane wealth that a select few men have amassed. Limiting wealth limits their influence and returns power back to the working class.
I can understand where you are coming from, but if you put laws like that on the books TPTB will find a way to screw the general public with them .

There are already anti monopoly laws et al, in existence that would stop the kind of corporate wealth concentration that we see today. The problem is that the whole system is corrupt to the point that there is no law for anyone, rich or poor. Find a way to enforce the laws that already exist and you will see fewer 'aires of all sorts.

And why should YOU have the power to LIMIT their income and power? And what happens when YOUR power goes to YOUR head? Who keeps YOU from abusing it?

Hopefully they have a jury that understands. If they have at least one like me it would be a hung jury if the others voted guilty because I would not give in. The same for the Rittenhouse trial. It's time people started doing what's right in this country and take out the trash.
Amen. Have to believe if there is at least one person on the jury with kids there is no way he will be found guilty. I am 100 percent sure I would acquit.

I wish we could quit calling oligarch controlled information disbursement organizations the news media because they're not. The oligarchs robbed us one of our primary sources of checks and balances on the government and the rich and powerful which is the media.

Say what you will but they're should be a personal wealth cap of no more than a billion dollars per individual. Money truly is the root of all evil. Humanity will be better off with less billionaires in this world.
Misquoted

The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. There’s way more love of money by the have-nots than the haves.

Normally people with bumper stickers...their beliefs or the message they are trying to get across is not a mystery, pretty easy to figure out.

However, at the drive thru just now I got behind a van with a peace sign at the top left corner of the back window, at the bottom right was an alien, and the bottom left was a few pictures: Dwight Schrute with the word 'False' under his picture, one sticker I couldn't make out what it said, Barack Obama with a huge afro smoking a joint, the grim reaper, and a panda bear doing the dab.

I guess to me it all screamed someone who wouldn't vote on our side, but it doesn't matter cause I doubt they actually go vote.

IIRC, it was whether or not Mitch B's then-contract had a clause that said he (Mitch) would receive a monetary bonus if the football team made a bowl game. It did, so sorry-ass rq lost and is now forever known as a bet-welshing loser
Had nothing to do with Mitch’s contract.

Guess when you are corrupt enough, you can just legalize corruption.

FEC lets foreigners finance U.S. ballot fights

The Federal Election Commission has ruled foreign donors can finance U.S. referendum campaigns, opening the door to foreign spending on fights over high-profile policy issues, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: Foreign nationals are barred from donating to U.S. political candidates or committees. But the FEC's decision — allowing them to support ballot committees — provides another avenue for foreigners to directly influence U.S. voters and domestic policy.

  • A major question stemming from the decision is whether foreign nationals are now permitted to spend money to influence the actual mechanisms of the U.S. democratic process.
  • That would include congressional redistricting, which is frequently subject to ballot referenda.
  • The FEC's ruling did not address that question, meaning it will likely be litigated in future fights at the commission.
The decision only concerns federal law; states remain free to outlaw foreign funding for state-registered ballot committees.

  • Seven states already do so.
