No, you and your so-called "history" teacher are liars.

Yes, check the primary sources.

The country was not set up as a theocracy, true, but the founding fathers were clearly and unequivocally Christian, save a deist here or there; they intentionally set up a Christian nation, full stop.

It's not open for debate.

That historical document you posted has some discrepancies that the Senate rejected later, the quote you listed is one.
Link? There are disputes about the translation of the Arabic version but regardless of the translation that is the English version that was unanimously ratified by the US Senate.

“the Barlow translation (Article 11 included) was the text presented by the President and ratified unanimously in 1797 by the U.S. Senate following strict Constitutional procedures.”

Better read more into that Dion. In 1805, after the treaty was broken, and new almost identical one was approved, that statement you posted was removed.

You take one statement, while not including the whole statement it was included. Nor do you look at other statements from people. Look at John Adams, who was the President abd quite possibly the driving force for the founding of the nation coming to fruition.

Christianity, while not involved with our Govt, is necessary for our govt.

The wording of the new treaty differed in lots of ways but the bulk of the statement I referenced is still in there, just as Article 14 not 11.

One of the quotes I linked is from John Adams. You're doing exactly what you're accusing me of, cherry picking and ignoring context and evidence to the contrary. As always, projecting.

False.

By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.

Go: Washington

Washington issued a proclamation on October 3, 1789, designating Thursday, November 26 as a national day of thanks. In his proclamation, Washington declared that the necessity for such a day sprung from the Almighty’s care of Americans prior to the Revolution, assistance to them in achieving independence, and help in establishing the constitutional government.

False. See, that is how it is done. Make your point real.

Boom! and Dion is spanked again. Too dumb to learn the lesson though.

Lol you can't make this up. First two steps are so laughable. 1) community outreach 2) removing obstacles for financial equity

My bank sent me an email that ended "Tell Congress to reject this new IRS reporting provision"

"The proposal would violate the personal privacy of consumers like you by requiring financial institutions to provide the government with information that does not reflect taxable activity."

I expect to get crushed tomorrow but will cheer for a miraculous upset.

Prediction
Georgia 37
Kentucky 14

If we win, I’ll go back and edit. 😂
I think itll be closer than that. For some reason we always play Georgia tough. Even in the years we were absolutely horrible they wouldn't really blow us out. Kentucky is gonna come to play. I dont expect a win though because we would need to play absolutely perfect and that's gonna be hard against them. But we will keep it within 10-14 most of the game IMO.

If we do win though...holy cow. A SEC championship is within reach and even playoff talk for us would begin. Imagine.

I guess when you're an abysmal failure... you finally go back to what worked...

If they (Mexico) don't like it they can kindly shut the eff up and stop allowing them to come into their country in the first place. You let them in then they are your problem.

The California Version of The Green New Deal and an October 16, 2020, EPA Settlement With Transportation is What’s Creating The Container Shipping Backlog – Working CA Ports 24/7 Will Not Help, Here’s Why

The trucking issue with California LA ports, ie the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), is that all semi tractors have to be current with new California emissions standards. As a consequence, that mean trucks cannot be older than 3 years if they are to pick up or deliver containers at those ports. This issue wipes out approximately half of the fleet trucks used to move containers in/out of the port. Operating the port 24/7 will not cure the issue, because all it does is pile up more containers that sit idle as they await a limited number of trucks to pick them up. THIS is the central issue.
:
On October 16, 2020, the EPA reached a settlement agreement [DATA HERE] with California Air Resource Board (CARB) to shut down semi tractor rigs that were non-compliant with new California emission standards:
:
In effect, what this 2020 determination and settlement created was an inability of half the nation’s truckers from picking up anything from the Port of LA or Port of Long Beach. Virtually all private owner operator trucks and half of the fleet trucks that are used for moving containers across the nation were shut out.
Easiest solution is abandon the California ports. Let them suffer for their decision making while everything gets brought in elsewhere. Will be a pain in the butt but time to send them around through the Panama Canal and then up to the Gulf of Mexico states to be unloaded. Let California run out of everything and reap what they sow.

I would definitely say hello to the shoeshine stand guy but I haven't seen a shoeshine stand in at least 40 years or more.
They were around in the early 90's when I was in the Air Force. You could get a really nice shine on your boots/shoes. The black gentleman that did mine in tech school wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty and left a mirror shine on the toe of my boots. Excellent at his craft.
