I live out in a fairly rural area, however more and more people are escaping the city to move out there. Our local newspaper said we were like last or second to last in getting the vax. Our county went about 65-70% trump in the last election. My fiance's youngest daughter will be a sophomore in High School. All our other kids are out of high school. It will be interesting to see how the curriculum sways this year. We will be keeping an eye on it. I know its a pretty conservative county so I think if things go too far left, parents will squawk pretty loudly. I do think the system has its share of woke teachers though. My next door neighbor is the assistant principal at the middle school (and hot) and she is full on woke. Her husband is more conservative though.

Definitely keep an eye. Just remember that curriculum is approved by the local school board in KY. Keep an eye on those meetings and what the agenda for each is. There may come a time you need to rally parents to show up to have their voices heard and be ready to vote them out if necessary.

Truth. sadly, as i’ve posted before, my wife voted for cho & ho because “i can’t stand that damned trump,” as did i’m sure some of her friends. ask them which policies they like or dislike of either candidate and they can’t tell you, nor do they gaf. wife was never one to get into politics but she hated trump so much that she voted against him, for no reason other than she hated his looks.
I’d guess there were a few million other voters of the same mindset, mostly women.

I’d guess there were a few million other voters of the same mindset, mostly women.

A lot of people don't need to depend on Trump or any POTUS to do well in this great country. So yes, folks with that mindset can afford to not gaf. I've been part of the workforce since graduating college in 2000. Not once, has the POTUS make or break me in terms of being able to work hard and follow through on my goals and plans. I suspect it is that way for many. Therefore, yes, they can afford to vote for the person that they feel best represents and comports themselves.

They don't really work 9 months a year. Week off for Thanksgiving, 2 or more weeks off for Christmas break, fall break which is 3 days or so, spring break which is a week, inclement weather days which covers about a week or so, and all of the other holidays that are included.
