Peach Jam thread; Today 4 pm ET on ESPN2 for the 17U Title

Team Final lost to NH Lightning 73-67 with Jalen Duren getting 16pts, 10 rebs 3 blocks and a limited min Dereck Lively got 4 pts and 5 rebs.

Quarterfinals are set--all games at 9:30 am EST--the semis will be on ESPNU tomorrow night at 5 and 7EST I believe.

Pro Skills (Cason Wallace) vs Team Final (Duren/Lively) in rematch of opening game last week won by Pro Skills.

Bradley Beal Elite (Brandon Miller/Nick Smith Jr) vs NH Lightning (Mark Armstrong Nova commit)

Meanstreets (AJ Casey, Jalen Washington & Kam Croft) vs E1T1 (Dillon Mitchell)

NY Rens (without Kyle Flipowski but still have Chance Westry, Simeon Wilcher, and Denver Anglin) vs Team Durant (Dariq Whitehead, Rodney Rice, Judah Mintz)

Right now I'd place Team Durant as favorite with Flipowski out for Rens to win the entire thing.

Pro Skills has been so great all of the Peach Jam but have to see if Team Final figures out they have 2 of the top 3 players in this class (until Duren makes decision to reclass) who are both 6'9 and 7'2.

BBE has a tough assignment with Mark Armstrong and crew who play well together but Brandon Miller plays at a high level they are a dangerous team.

I'll take Meanstreets over E1T1 due to them having a little more offense, but E1T1 is always a very athletic team and has great defense with Mitchell (same team that Shaedon Sharpe lit up for 47 pts this Spring and made 20-27 FG)

Rooting for Team Final to win this morning so we can see Lively and Duren on espnu tonight. Sorry Cason Wallace.

Also rooting for Brad Beal Elite so we can see Brandon Miller and Nick Smith on tv tonight.

Glad UK offered kid sounds like the REAL DEAL! You can tell most of all the old band is back together again man look how much UK is in watching all these great players!
ESPN analyst Jonathan Givony tweeted last weekend that Wallace was “making a strong case for consideration as the best point guard in the class” with his play on the Nike circuit. Givony added that Wallace might leave the event in North Augusta, S.C., as one of the top five players in his 2022 class.

Goodman has been extremely complimentary toward Sharpe and Wallace. Can’t be easy for him. That says it all.

Smash and others thanks for killing it as always! Tremendous job by all of you.

Here are stats of the UK involved guys from Quarterfinals--Put up Team Final/NY Rens stats for Semifinals in Smash's other thread for the Peach Jam Semfinals/Final.

Team Final beat Pro Skills 82-68. --Jalen Duren had 14 pts, 7-11 FG, 0-5FT, 7 Rebs, 2 Assists, 2 Blocks, 1 ST in 24 Mins

Dereck Lively had 9 pts, 4-6 FG, 1/3 3pt, 6 rebs, 2 Assists and 1 blocked shot in 22 mins

Cason Wallace had 19 pts on 8-19 FG, 1/7 3pt, 2-2 FT, 4 Rebs, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot in 31 mins of his last EYBL game. KENTUCKY OFFER ANNOUNCED AFTER GAME!

Bradley Beal Elite beat NH Lightning-- Brandon Miller had 24 pts 11-20 FG, 2/2 3pt, 10 Rebs, 1 assist and 2 steals.

Nick Smith Jr had 8 pts, 3-10 FG, 0/2 3pt, 2-3 FT, 5 Rebs, and 3 Assists (look for his Kentucky offer to be announced soon as well)

NY Rens beat Team Durant in a huge W for them without Kyle Flipowski.

Chance Westry had 24 pts 13 Rebs, 3 assists and 3 steals

Simeon Wilcher had 10 pts 4-9 FG, 2/6 3pt, 2 Rebs, 2 Assists, 1 blocked shot and 3 steals.

Wilcher is getting a reputation as an elite defender at 6'5 and is class of '23 with heavy UK, Duke, UNC, etc....interest.

Meanstreets beat E1T1 58-56 to advance behind Jalen Washington and AJ Casey along with Kam Croft.

In the Consolation Round of 17U,

Adem Bona had 12 pts 6-9 FG, 0-1 FT, 14 Rebs 2 assists and 2 blocked shots in 68-63 loss to All Ohio.

Not all of the Consolation Box Scores are up but most recently in a 74-70 Win on Thursday Adem Bona had 10 pts, 3-3 FG, 4-9 FT, 6 Rebs, 1 blocked shot in 24 mins of play.

UK was at all his games this week as well and went full staff (Cal is out and pretty certain it's Covid protocol as he was hanging with Bill Self last weekend and Self is not on road due to Covid).

Kentucky had 2 Coaches at TeamWhyNot vs The Family game yesterday and biggest name is WhyNot PG Kylan Boswell.

The 16U EYBL Championship will be on ESPNU after the 17U Boys Championship on ESPN2 and it will be: TeamWhyNot vs DriveNation who has UK target KJ Lewis and top 10 player Ronald Holland.

Why is Nick Smith hardly getting any PT in the 2nd half? Is he in foul trouble?
Not sure--he's coming off a broken wrist and just started playing 2 weeks ago, so maybe that was something of concern or limiting them, but he'll be good to go tomorrow for last EYBL game of his career.

Just so the recruiting junkies are aware, Bruiser Flint has been at UA Tournament and watching Reed Sheppard, Baye Fall, Jalen Hooks, etc.....in place of Cal who is out for Covid Protocol (my own speculation as nothing was announced but Bruiser is allowed to replace Cal since he's out).

What I’ve seen so far - Druen never gets ball jogs up & down court Lively has shot 2 bricks
White boy #23 on Brad Beal is very skilled
Looks like a McDonalds all star game

You can obviously tell Duren has a ton of upside and potential to be elite, but I don’t think he will be a major game-changer for next year.
