WTF is Burton's problem with the snap? Has been shaky all year so far. He may be a natural at the position but he sure as hell sucks right now with the most basic of duties: snapping the ball to the QB. Leary had to react quickly on the TD play as it was off target, too. He snaps the ball too damn hard, imo, and it doesn't look like he has much spiral on the ball, either. I hope he and Yenser take 200 practice snaps at halftime because we can't have the snap going all over the place.

Man, college football is almost unbearable to watch anymore. All the NIL crap, tv deals that have three minutes of commercials every single to, just all bullshit. Throw in our style of play I’d rather watch a monkey shitting documentary for three hours.
When the offense gets its stuff together, it'll be amazing. We have great players. I can't say how many whiffs that have allowed Akron in the backfield have been on Burton whiffing on protections, but it's not zero. He's new and shaky early, and Akron is trying to give him a lot of new looks to further test him. It sucks, but he's going to have to have growing pains.
I'm okay with growing pains with protections – they're difficult. However, he's got to clean up those bad snaps. Leary is most comfortable in shotgun and we can't afford to sail the ball 20 yards behind him.
That's what I'm worried about. Maybe this will be like the year we struggled with Univ of Charleston or whatever, but SEC play will be tough. It always is.

He's been in the game. Honestly might just not be open. He's had trouble against the press in our first two games. If he's getting jammed at the line, that'd explain some things. I haven't been looking at how they've guarded him, but might be something to check out when we come out of the half.
I'll be surprised if he makes it past halfway through the SEC if we don't block better. Maybe speeding it up so they don't have to hold blocks as long might help.
