NIL Collective- Have I ever steered you wrong?

I signed up a while back. And will do so for a year.

If 1 player opts out of a bowl game next year, I am out forever. NFL paid players don’t opt out of the playoffs, neither should paid college players.
This post just proved what i posted previously.
Signing them up and keeping them signed up is two different things.
If the 15 club had been around when the team took a knee in Gainsville, how many cancelations would have happened that day?
After the Vandy debacle this year?
After Brooks said rename Rupp?
If Vito and co. had been guilty as charged?
Fans are fickle as hell.
The fact is a 25 a month contribution doesnt mean shit but some will act like they are Joe Craft .
Knee jerk cancelations will be the norm especially with small donors.

I started donating the 1st day I could. As a business owner, I understand that attracting and keeping top talent requires paying them. Do I like it? No. But we as fans can either chip in or become Vandy (or worse).

Entertainment wise, there are few things I want more than a successful FB program.

Also I read an idea about the collective I thought was a good one. If you are concerned about the monthly costs, team up with a fellow fan. Instead of 1 person wanting to pay 10, 3-4 of you team up and pay 50. Also, there is a one-time donation option if you want to do less than the lowest monthly.

If u can afford to do so, even if it's 10 bucks a month, please donate. The haves and have-nots are going to start separating in the next few years. I have no desire to go back to have-not status.

I would recommend donating but don’t get into the weeds. Don’t worry about what individual kids do in terms of transferring or opting out. Don’t worry about a coach not playing a 4 star. You can’t control those decisions. Contribute and support. If you are going to be pissed off at any of the above don’t contribute. You are going to be miserable.

Whether it's the NCAA or some other governing body, NIL isn't going anywhere
I'd rather have them be pros instead of amateurs and have all the same rules the pros have including a draft, free agency etc. Then they have to earn it or get fired.

Some of y'all are number & math illiterate, so let me help with the calculations Brady is giving

UK collective needs $3 or 4 mil annually

Collective needs 15000 fans contributions

So if 15k fans gave $200/yr or $17/month = $3M

$267/yr or $22/mo = $4M

That's half what the vols gave for a QB, what about the other 84 players, they coming for free? ATM reportly spent 30m on their 22 class. If you going to play in that pool, you going to need 8 times your number. Miami was paying a QB 9m and he flipped to Florida. It's an auction house and you have to be concerned with panhandling 300 bucks a year from fans who sacrifice to attend 1 game you are in the wrong auction house.

Grumpy your signing players to bonus $ of $1.8 million. IWe are trying to build a competitive team with what we do have. We need $ 1.5 million to field a team similar to what we have now.

Why didn’t we get the DB from Bama today? NIL money! That’s it. Like it/hate it but that’s the world we live in now.

My withdrawal will not be knee jerk. The players want to be paid professionals, then act like it. If they “opt out” I will forego any future donations.

No offense, but that sounds like an excuse. You know as well as I do that there will be future players who opt out. Basically you are saying this time next year you will withdraw. Also NIL is payment for name, image, and likeness. NIL contracts cannot be structured to prevent a player from opting out.

They should be structured that way is the problem. They are getting paid to play, just like the pros. There needs to be a contractual obligation.

Have an NFL guy tell his 2-14 team that he is sitting out the last game of the season to work on his free agency and tell me how many teams want to sign him.

Oh don't try that nonsense, pro guys in all sports dump out on losing seasons all the damn time

There is no contract especially between players and collectives.
If you wanted to do your own deal with a paticular player, then maybe.
Most all of these guys are not getting guaranteed money.

The money isn’t from the K-fund or the school or anyone affiliated with the schools. Mitch or the school CAN’T give money to the players. It’s illegal. All these collectives like kentucky15.com is independent of the school. If you are pissed at Mitch, tired of the K-fund whatever. I’d prefer everyone stop attending & donate to the collective before the K-fund. It’s basically what some big boosters did this year and it was smart because it’s what needed to be done to hold the current team & class together… but they aren’t going to keep doing it and I don’t blame them. If the masses don’t give a shit if we’re any good, why should they continue to carry the program when now there is an opportunity for the common fan to help. Personally, I’d rather see the money go to the players that work, and sweat, and bleed for Big Blue than Mitch & co. They already get tens of millions from TV & none of that money goes in players’ pockets.

-90% of the gross donations go directly to players
-You get some pretty good benefits…way better than most collectives I’ve seen.
-Collectives are here to stay. I don’t like it. I do like that players can do advertisements and use their own name, image, and likeness like everyone else on the planet, but I didn’t like the collectives & was hoping it never got started, but it’s here and it’s the cost of being competitive.

Make your own decisions. For me, it’s a small price to pay when I consider that I get a hell of a lot more enjoyment out of watching Kentucky football than I’d get out of $25 or $50 a month spent on anything else. If we go down the toilet in a couple years because we get the reputation of piss poor NIL, I’ll at least have the peace of mind knowing ai did my part to prevent it. If you haven’t yet, my advice would be to at least go to the website & take a look & inform yourself of what it is, what you get, etc.

Not from me. Why would i give money to a athlete who has free tuition, meals, grades & no telling what else. While I bust my butt trying to pay for a real student who wants an education.

I mean what do you think pro sports are ?
An organization whose sole purpose is to make a profit. The players are not part of anything other than the team.
UK football players are also students of the university and profits of the football program HAVE to be shared with the rest of the athletic dept and university as a whole.
