Some Monster performances today from heavy UK targets Darryn Peterson/AJ Dybantsa/Darius Acuff/Jayden Quaintance/Jalil Bethea today to this point. Still 3 games left and Cal will be watching Quaintance vs Acuff for sure.

Jahki Howard who missed today's action but is with Darius Acuff's team is the kid that Somto Cyril roomed with at OTE and is on record saying he'll put a UK bug in his ear--class of '24 versatile do it all wing--plays for NH Lightning in EYBL
They've been on him from jump. He's from Boston area, idolized Terrence Clarke and a lot of ties with him. He's with Expressions (Nick Richards/Terrence Clarke's AAU team) so there's a lot of connections with Dybantsa/UK. Nothing is a lock or done, but they are involved and key with him is does he play CBB?
Due to guys leaving to go to their teams/tournaments during week ahead which will kick off a Live Period-some guys were playing on different teams and the "champion" was Denver with Cooper Flagg as they added Robert Wright III who had a big game in finals and Team Atlanta who was best team in the event was punished for their only loss. But interesting numbers today. My friend was there and said all the big name guys delivered but he'd have given the MVP to Jayden Quaintance simply for the fact the guy is 15 yrs old and the stat lines against this level of competition were unreal. He lost in Finals but you'll see his numbers.

Acuff had another 32 pt game and then focused on distributing when Bidunga joined his team and had 12 and 4 dimes when they lost to Denver. That was game Jasper Johnson had his best game though. Bidunga had 12-9-3 blocks.

I always thought they should have been doing this starting with session 1
Team USA usually struggles at this level due to their top 19 yr olds going to the Draft and not being in the event. Cal lost to Canada back in Summer in Semifinals.
Also, many, not just myself thought this roster and the tryout list was severely lacking.
Understand why they don't in April, they have regular season games/Playoffs but it's great they are showing this in July!
AJ is going to end up in class of '25, so get prepared for that guys.
