NBA PLAYOFFS SUNDAY!!

Embiid and Harden are the definition of soft ass basketball players. Spend more time crying and flailing on the floor than anything else. Embiid is probably the least deserving Mvp ever.

51 for Tatum. Boston fans gonna talk about this one for a while (forever)

I won’t say Embiid didn’t deserve MVP because he had a great regular season .

But it seems like Jokic didn’t win because people didn’t want to call him a 3 time MVP. Also things seemed to change once Kendrick Perkins made it about race . It looked like Jokic even let up and just let Embiid have it towards the end .

Jokic can win what matters while Embiid is sitting on his couch watching.

As a long time Sixers fan..shit is getting old, they just as aggravating as the Raiders. As a kid, you pick a player or team and stick with em, my teams were great in the late 70's and early 80's. Neither one of em done shit since. My sports fandom sucks.

This.

Voter fatigue is real. Some year's it's the guy with the best stats. Some years it's the guy that is the best player on the best team.

That being said, a guy averaging nearly a triple double on a 1 seed should probably have gotten it regardless

I think voter fatigue+Perkins left guys looking for a reason to give it to Embiid. He led the league in scoring, so there's their cop out.

Yep. Same thing happened to LeBron in 10/11 with Rose, although he should've won it in 07/08, but they went with Kobe, who was due after getting snubbed in 05/06.

At some point, also, voters have to say, “you know what? This guy has yet to make the Finals. Maybe let’s watch him prove it in the playoffs this year.”

I know people will generally give the nod to whoever wins this series, but who do you actually think is better: AD or Jokic?
At this point in their careers, I'd go with Joker if I had to pick one, simply because of dependability. When AD is healthy and dialed in, he's a monster and maybe the best defender in the league. He just seems susceptible to injuries. Joker isn't that type of defender but is a much better passer and playmaker on offense. It's not often you see a 6'11 285 lb guy leading a fast break and thread a 20 ft one hand bounce pass through traffic to a teammate for a layup.

Honestly if the award was true to its name Lebron would have won it like 14 or 15 years in a row. He was by far the “most valuable” player in the league for a long time. Up until he went to the Lakers. And that’s more because he just misses too many games now.

8 seasons in the league, Jokic averaging playing 74.5 game a year. He's going to eclipse 70 again this year.

In that same span of time, Davis is averaging 57.6 games played per year, missing an average of almost 17 more games per year than Jokic. For that reason alone, you have to take Jokic over AD at this point. IMO

Offense vs defense in a nutshell. I think Joker is the better overall player but you have to make him play defense too. AD can do that if he really brings it on both ends. Joker has the unique ability to shoot over both shoulders and use his body to gain favorable position so it won't be easy. AD can feast facing up to shoot jumpers if the shot falls because he won't have the size advantage this series in the post.

Wow! Joker hits a step back bomb at the third quarter buzzer with Davis all over him. Davis just laughs and shakes his head as Joker sort of apologizes, lol. Davis has 31 and is being thoroughly outplayed. Nuts.

Speaking of the NBA the spurs won the first pick, could be the one that sets them back up for a dynasty of Pop gets back to coaching a talented team other than trying to save the world.

He just has a lot less help. Jokic is the man though. AD is doing all he can.

Hell of a game. Kudos to the Lakers for not quitting. Massive night for Joker with 34/21/14 and Murray with 31/5/5. AD with 40/10 and LeBron with 26/12/9.

These guys do amazing shit with the basketball...but i DoNt' WaTcH tHe NbA cAuSe aLL ThEy Do iS sHOoT tHrEeS aNd DuNk aNd DoNt' pLaY nO dEfEnCe AnD R wOkE!!1!!

Hard to win when you don't defend but incredible how quickly the Lakers can get back into it when they do. More of the same and Nuggets in 5 but not sure they can shoot that well again.
