National Championship Open Thread

Not at all. Florida accounts for two of those titles and Auburn for one. Winning is contagious in this conference.
In 2010 and 2011, recently it’s only those 2 and every 5-6 years LSU has a reallly good team. I like the SEC, but people using the success of two teams to discredit other conferences isn’t fair. TCU earned the right to play in this game, they got blown out. Alabama will be back, it was cool to see a new team in the playoffs

No one in the big 10 has done anything lately or the pac 12 or big 12. If your standard is national titles than you have these teams and a fading Clemson.
Ohio st and Michigan have been just as successful as a lot of SEC teams recently Michigan state has to.

-Bama lost 2 games in the regular season, Texas game is irrelevant.
Then why were the pundits discussing it before the playoffs were announced? “Alabama didn’t look good against Texas…blah blah blah”

Lmao so for other conferences you get to count not winning national titles but for the SEC we can't?
I’m going based off what you said. The SEC is two teams winning it, and yes you have to find other ways of having satisfying season besides championships. But acting like TCU didn’t belong in the game is crazy

Brock Bowers doesn't look like much, but MAN is he an AWESOME football player.

That dude is deceivingly fast, tough as nails and can go up and get the ball with great hands.

To think he wasn't even ranked as a HS Senior is crazy!!! He is the type of player we need to find.
Bowers was an elite prospect, which is why Georgia came to California to get him. Are you confusing him with Stetson Bennett?

They don't. The committee rigged the seeding so OSU and Michigan didn't play again.

Huh? Is that why 6 different SEC teams have won championships in the last 25 years?
The SEC since 2012 has been Alabama, Georgia, then LSU every 5-6 years. The SEC is good, but people just want to discredit TCU, they got the shit beat of them tonight, they stilll earned the right to be in the game

If not for one blown coverage play by UGA it would be 65 -0 so this game is actually worse than it appears.

Great Horny Toads! When does the next train leave for Ft. Worth?

I didn’t watch a second of tonight’s game because I knew it would be a bloodbath. I just want to thank Michigan and the committee for wasting everyone’s time. With the seeding allowing TCU to be the three seed, we get a championship that looks like the Super Bowls of the late 80s.

Ohio State has to be crushed knowing they’re one play away from a national title. 😂 Ouch.

Shit makes no sense though

Michigan stomps 0SU
TCU barely beats Michigan
Ohio State loses by one despite leading GA most of the game
TCU gets demolished by Georgia

Watching the Georgia Freshman and bench play don’t make me feel too optimistic moving forward haha.

Yes.

For some reason I got the 2 players background confused.

He's still an unbelievable TE.

And Bennet is one of the best QB's to play in college football winning 2 titles in a row!!! Have to think that some NFL team would give him a shot.

65-7 and counting, with over 7 minutes still left to play.
This is legitimately embarrassing.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett gets drafted. It would probably be late, but it might happen.
