Agree with this. I am typically on the other side of this argument. But this new car has been a disaster so far.The Fox broadcast is hot garbage, the racing is terrible, this next gen car is dangerous and shouldn't even be on the track, racing on dirt at Bristol just isn't what they expected it to be and yet they still keep doing it and the list goes on and on. Right now NASCAR should fire every top executive they have because they are on a downward spiral that is going to end up with them going under.
The car was meant to save teams a bunch of money. It simply has not, teams are still spending just as much as they were on the car before.
You would think each generation of car would get safer. This car is not as safe as the last.
This car was suppose to help fix the racing. It has not. Short track product is absolute garbage, and the speedway product really isn’t that much better. These cars still have a big issue with getting aero tight.
The parts have been shit that are supplied to the teams.
The list goes on and on. I think the biggest issue is the safety of this car just doesn’t seem to be up to par with the last generation. NASCAR put a lot of money to develop this car and so far it doesn’t seem to be paying off.
NASCAR developed a road racing car for an oval racing series and it just too easy to drive for these guys.
