They can keep calling it a “home run” if they choose to….but I thought it sucked. Bring back the regular Bristol
Bristol's problem isn't dirt or asphalt. It's that it used to take 2 hours to get in there, a 3 hour race, and 3 hours to get out of traffic. People finally smartened up to it, among others.

I recall one race I went to there when there was a shooting in the parking lot after the race from 2 drunks getting into it over who was supposed to merge in next.

Sounds like some of the same problems I've occurred getting out of Kentucky Speedway in the past.

Bristol no longer has that problem. In years past, you couldn't get into a local restaurant without a long wait, traffic was terrible and grocery stores were packed. These days, you wouldn't even know the race was in town. 😐

Exactly. It used to be such a shit show that now people realized its easier to catch the race or the highlights from home then spend a whole traveling and in traffic. Indianapolis used to be really bad too.

Everyone is having attendance issues in pretty much every sport, but its magnified in NASCAR because at its peak they increased capacity at tracks and now people aren't coming to tracks like they used to.

Kentucky Speedway was bad the first few years, but nothing was nearly as bad as the first race in 2011. The last race with fans in 2019 was really easy to get in and out of.
I actually had my worst experience in that final 2019 race there getting out of traffic. Was nothing easy about that experience. Stressful as all hell. Nashville Superspeedway on the other hand is quite different.

May as well sleep in your truck overnight or go back to the camping lot than to try getting out the mess right after the race at Talladega. Fill up the tank before driving in.

NASCAR: Hey, guys. Guess what?
Fans: What?
N: We got wet weather tires!
F: Oh cool.
N: Yeah, take that, Mother Nature.
Mother Nature: *rains*
N: OK. Race is over.

i know it’s more complicated than that

Sam Mayer let Ryan Truex know he's #1

Nascar needs to do something to make the racing better or they are going to lose what fans they have left. Cars who are great can go to the back and can't pass anyone. Then a guy who has ran in the back all day can get to the front on some crazy pit strategy and nobody can pass him. This car has been terrible.

Suarez would be another one. Has landed on his feet with 3 top organizations with JGR, SHR & 1 win with Trackhouse to show for. It's still early for Cindric but I expect anyone in the #2 car with Penske Racing to be performing much better than it has considering the success over the years out of Rusty, Kurt Busch & Brad Keselowski all winning at a high level in the ride. Rather inconsistent since the Daytona 500 win last year. With Daddy Tim Cindric being #2 in the Penske organization, he'll be there as long as he wants. Also, Harrison Burton hasn't been near as consistent as Blaney or DiBenedetto in the #21. Didn't really do shit in his last year of the Xfinity Series in JGR equipment.

Hemric didn't like much from reaching the top of the catch fence. Halfway up it. Xfinity Race has been wild. The ARCA race was surprisingly less eventful.

Huge wreck. Hemric upside down. Camera taken out. Fox decided to go to commercial.

Logano and Keselowski aren’t terrible, I guess.

Everyone enjoying the parade?
Thankfully Chase and the Hendrick boys saved the snoozer so far getting up front for Stage 1. Huge for Chase to make up for all of that lost time. These cars breaking down, Briscoe & McDowell. Can't help but to think all of this 'cost cutting' by not having practice sessions could find some of these problems early on before the race starts. Bring a new car to the sport, can't pass and don't let the drivers get adapted to the car in practice.

Incredibly hard hit for Ryan Preece and Kyle Larson. NASCAR taking Larsons car back to the R&D center as his roll cage failed.

If that was a driver's side hit ......
I do believe the drivers side door is designed differently. But, regardless, the passenger side is not designed to break on impact. This was a failure and a very dangerous one at that.

Who knows if the driver side would have withstood that hit. I’d say at the very best scenario, Larson would have been hurt had this been drivers side.

Just feels like we are learning how this car is not as safe as the last generation more and more.

The Fox broadcast is hot garbage, the racing is terrible, this next gen car is dangerous and shouldn't even be on the track, racing on dirt at Bristol just isn't what they expected it to be and yet they still keep doing it and the list goes on and on. Right now NASCAR should fire every top executive they have because they are on a downward spiral that is going to end up with them going under.
