I don't get any joy from seeing any player get injured. The only comments I will make on Zion are this...
1) It doesn't appear to be too serious.
2) If it is serious and he misses extended time or even the rest of the season...then...
(a) the entire landscape of March Madness has completely changed
(b) The Cats have a legit shot at #9
3) Regardless of how bad the injury is this incident does not bode well for Nike. Not a good look for a shoe to completely fail by blowing apart 30 seconds into a game when a future multi-millionaire is wearing your kicks.

Zion and the better of Barrett/Reddish (I forget which is which) did not need college to make millions. They should never have had to go to school. We'd miss out on a couple of dudes every so often, but these elite guys should be able to jump to the NBA. Not some g-league/China/whatever league, but the place that exceptional players go. Kids aren't much more smarter at 19 then they were at 18 so the NBA needs to change the rule.
I hate these stupid lil running shoe like "basketball shoes" in general, but there's no way a dude like Zion or Shaq should wear those stupid things.
Am I a bad person because I want Zima Williamsport -- and every other key player on every other team in the nation that stands in the way of Kentucky winning #9 this year -- to have a non-NBA-career-affecting injury in the near future that would prevent them from playing in the NCAA tourney?
