N.O.B.

Touchdown Terry will probably be more like turnover Terry. Because you know, UK and what not.

What the hell is B-rad doing? He is probably like the retarded kid at the skills academy. They are just accommodating him cause of daddy. Everyone chuckling behind his back but still encouraging him because he tries real hard.

Brad got all of the recessive genes.

<> The # of mattress stores on Shelbyville Rd. in Metro never ceases to amaze me. It's astonishing how that many can stay in business. But yet...there they all are...still in business...every time I drive that way.

<> Speaking of US60...if it weren't for Shelbyville...the drive from Frankfort to Louisville on US60 would be a rather pleasant one. At least until you get to Middletown. They recently built a bypass in Shelbyville...but everyone knows that "bypass" is Swahili for "path with many stop lights".

<> Depending on where you are at any given moment in time...US60 can be called Shelbyville Rd, Louisville Rd, or Frankfort Rd/Frankfort Ave. And chances are no matter what it's called in that particular moment in time...your emergency mattress purchase needs can be met instantaneously.

Not sure what this is from but it reminded me of Land of the Lost. Not the ghey movie...I'm talking about the real deal...the old school Saturday morning TV show.

#FearTheSleestak
Yes... the spinning jewel crazy diamond reminded me of the crystals & Pylons from original acid-influenced LotL.

Little known fact that young Bill Laimbeer was a Sleestack.

If mav were around I would politely ask him why the Swayze Trilogy is biased against the movie Youngblood???

My counterpoints to whatever reasons he may have for its snub include, but are not limited to, the following:

1) Meets the essential criteria of being a cheesy 80's movie with Swayze playing a prominent role
2) With the exception of the chick getting railed doggy in the back room in Road House...young Cynthia Gibbs was just as hot or hotter than any other chick in the trilogy
3) Swayze has just as many cheesy one liners
4) Better storyline than Roadhouse
5) Unlike Red Dawn, this movie shows boobays
6) While not quite as violent as Point Break (no guns in Youngblood)...it has just as many fight scenes

In conclusion, I'm not saying Youngblood is necessarily better than any movie in the trilogy. I'm merely stating that it stands on its own merits by meeting all of the qualifications for inclusion in the trilogy and in fact at times betters certain qualities of those movies already within.

So that really only leaves one possible justifiable reason for being left out: by definition...a trilogy can only consist of 3 movies.

Thus, I propose a new cinematic term be born:

The Swayze Quadrilogy (Quartet) (Tetraology)

"Tetralogy" is probably the most cinematically correct term to use...but "Quadrilogy" just has a nice ring to it. Especially when pontificating on the merits of cheesy 80's Swayze movies.

What say you, mav?

Mav???

Maverick!!!! Are you listening!?!?!? Did you even hear a word I said???

Damnit!!!

Youngblood is a damned fine Swayze joint. However, it is forever tainted by...pretty boy (Racki had it right) Rob Lowe. As such, by definition it cannot be considered for entrance into the Swayze pantheon.

(bonus points for a young Cindy Gibb though)

Yo Funk.

I’m headed down to aTm in Oct to see the Cayuts vs Aggies. Their marching band is freakin impressive. Also, I have a fraternity brother with 3 sons in their drum corpse.

Have you ever seen them perform?

I think this will be a rare occasion where I will be more excited for halftime than the game.

Side notes:

  • Total damage from neighbor’s pool explosion $24,500. Pending insurance check.
  • Went to doctor last night, turns out the “good” foot has significant arthritis due to a time I jumped of a truck and sprain whilst at UK. May need surgery... to my good foot. Super.
  • I have a feeling that this will be CMS last season. 4 wins. <<Sad trombone>>
  • Big guy headed to high school, little guy to kindergarten.
  • I took some amazing photos on my vacation... I highly recommend y’all use a full-frame DSLR and get used to it. Impress yourselves.

I tried to talk my brother into going down to see the Cats at aTm. No use. I'll be headed to Lex for the 9/22 game vs MSST. I may make it my mission to track down Funky.

I got my wife a Cannon EOS T(something). It makes great pics, but its kinda a hassle to wag around. Lenses, extra battery, sling bag.

A&M is impressive. A lot of their stuff is technically simple, but they do it so precisely and close together that it looks amazing.

@UKGrad93 I might be in town that Saturday, or I might be in scenic Union, KY for a band contest. If I'm around I might try to make that game too.

Nice pix, Kooky.

Was into DSLR back in the late-90s mainly for girlie photos. Conducted a couple shoots at my apartment in Copperas Cove, TX before remarriage and earned a few dollars. Hated developing film all the time. Looking at purchasing some nicer equipment over the next year or so.

Yeah, TAMU Aggie band is an amazing spectacle to behold. I've worked with some folks who played for it a decade ago. Both told me it's all in the facing movements combined with those dreaded practices.

Hate to tell you Kook, but the draft was last weekend, and your team sucks.

All I want today is for the cats to win big, and Lynn Bowden to score a touchdown then jump/stick on the goalpost like Spider-Man.
