N.O.B.

Cool that the Cap'n and his son can enjoy a rock show together.

But wouldn't it be funny...I know this isn't the case but just stay with me on this one...but wouldn't it be down right hilarious...

...if it were revealed that Jr is still in diapers and the "father/son rock show quality time together" was nothing more than the Cap'n dragging the little tike kicking and screaming against his will to the Alice Cooper concert because the wife has to work or something. Hahahaha
You see. Now i'm visualizing my 6'2" - 145lb son in a diaper with the big bobby pins. Sulking while I'm jamming to cooper. Yeah, pretty funny. Side note. I was really surprised at the amount of 6, 7 and 10 year old kids at the concert. All had fun.

Love the Zion thread on Raftards. So much hypocrisy

Stephen A Smith doesn’t want Loyola in the NC game. Cinderella hater. I think he’s come totally unwrapped like a big Pita

During Davis brief stint with the Cardinals, he was in the outfield when a foul ball ricocheted of the wall and rolled all the way out to where he was standing. Like 5-7 feet from him, the kid down the sidelines just looked at him assuming Davis was going to take the 2-3 steps and sling the ball over. But Davis motioned for the kid to get it. The game was delayed while the kid had to run about 30 yards both ways to pick up that damn ball. Not a Davis fan.

As kids we saw him and Larkin at the mall in St. Louis, ran up to them for an autograph, Davis never broke stride. He just kept walking. The point is Eric Davis hates kids. Larkin seemed really classy.

Funk that is awful duo of teams.

The Big Red Machine must have been the s—t though, my dad wants to beat the Reds worse than anybody else in the division. Couple times I have mentioned, ‘why do you hate them so bad? They haven’t done anything in 25-30 years?’ And he then he talks about how bad he hated The Big Red Machine.

Yeah there are 6k posts a day from 135 different accounts in the political thread every day. But there's only about 10 total people posting in that thread.

I quickly erased my message to Willy in here about the political board, not cause what I was saying wasn’t true, but this isn’t a political board and y’all don’t want to hear about that sh-t.
Thought I erased it before it was seen. If curious Willy, all I said was Dionysus is 100 percent JohnKBA regarding your most recent message over there.

My bad Kaizer.

@funKYcat75 you part of the walk out? lol. my mom and sis are coming into town tomm and the kid just got a day off from school, and tomm is a vac day for me. so it's all cool.

lifelong Cards fan. Good thing we got the Cayuts to bitch about or we would go to war with each other in here over some other sports allegiences.

grandpa started taking me to cardinal's games at old Busch Stadium when I was only 4 years old. His dad started taking him to games there back in the 30's. grandpa was also a radio man for 50 years. sports broadcasting for good ole Union County High school sports. our radio station is also a Kentucky and StL sports affiliate. been there many of times on "affiliate day" and got to go to luncheons with players and meet them and Jack Buck and company all throughtout the 80's and 90's. so yeah, pretty much have had Cardinal baseball engraved into my soul.

have been to Cincy several times usually at least once a season to watch the Cards and Reds play.

I try, TRY, to see the Braves play every opportunity possible. Attended a game back in '94 while at Fort Benning for ANCOC. Good times. Both my brothers have been Braves fans forever, including brother who played for the farm team. Oh, how I long for the 90s teams.

I remember getting an old autograph book filled one weekend with Braves players. the Dale Murphy years. the opposing team then always stayed at the Marriot across from the old Busch stadium. grandparents would get us down there to the stadium entrance to see the other team come in from the hotel. Got a cool framed and autographed pic when I was maybe 8 or 9 with Tommy Lasorda. was decked out in Cardinal gear and he actually stopped us and wanted the pic. My pop, through the radio station, contacted the Dodgers office and mailed the pic to them and Lasorda autographed it to me and sent it back. got a pic at one of the luncheons with Bob Gibson. embarrassed the crap out of my Pop. he was 6'3 240 army vet big dude, but Gibby was still intimidating. My grandma who was maybe 5'0 100lbs stood up raised her voice to Gibby to get his attention wanting a pic of him with her grandbaby (me), and Gibson turned around, shoulders wide and back and lowered his head was all "yes ma'am" and smiles. very polite dude. also got a framed pic with Jack Clark. my fav player of the 80's teams, along with Ozzie.

sry for the long and boring post. love me some baseball. been to prolly 100 or more Cardinal games over the years. can't hate us all @funKYcat75 . lol

I figured as much. But I must have been responding whilst you were deleting.

I remember being a kid during the early Dale Murphy years and wondering why the Braves were on tv all the time even though they always had a losing record and were never in the hunt. One year I remember them losing over 100 games. Something like 105 games...lost. Hahahaha. I remember thinking how is that even possible and wtf are they on tv all the time???

Of course the answer is Teddy and $$$.

And then came the 90's when they won their division damn near every single year. Some really good teams during that stretch.

Well, I guess I get an early spring break. This thing is far from over and there were several things that have happened which will be challenged in court. I’m not worried yet but it’s more on my mind than it was. ‘Striking’ on the day before spring break when no legislators are there seems kinda foolish, IMO.

I used to get to go to a Braves game about every summer when I was little. Had my share of braves hats and who couldn’t love a team with Dale Murphy and Bob Horner? I even went through a Cardinals phase (that was my tball team) and got to catch a game in St Louis. But then I grew up and realized that both teams were just the worst. Eff ‘em. Proud to say I never had a Cubs bandwagon moment. Even in 84 I rocked a Tigers cap just to stick it to the Cubs losers.

Have a good Easter weekend. I know we don’t all agree on spiritual stuff, but I hope y’all get some family time and I’m sending tendrils of good vibrations in your general vicinities. By Sunday I will have been at church 4 of the previous 6 days .....

Stay cool, the NOB
