Going to be interesting...so many on here think he can't coach at this level.
Will be interesting watching him battle it out with Ole Miss and Arkansas for 5th in the SECW.
What has Leach won in the last 15 years that makes you afraid. TT could not win Big12 when it sucked and I would say he has not come anywhere close to being the best team year in year out in the worst P5 Conference. 5 years in SEC and he will be looking for another job.
It will be interesting because MSU is built to run the ball and play defense. Leach does neither of those things.
Conceivably his first year could be his best: leftover defense and a new, exciting offense.
I would rank his chances against us up there with his Apple Bowl record: his weakness is line-of-scrimmage.

Yep. Furthermore he has said in the past that it takes a QB 2 years to really learn his offense.

Walker Wood could put up PlayStation numbers in Mike Leaches system. It’s a system and the QB’s he’s produced were products of that system.
this guys playing for Minshew Pt II. Shaw never thought he’d be there this year, figured he’d go NFL. But injury plagued year last season derailed that. this will be fun to watch.
Anyone thinking about the culture shock this kid is going to endure?
I thought about how he's prob the first person to ever do his undergrad at Stanford and then his grad school at Miss. State.
Against sec defenses, can they protect a qb passing 55 tiimes a game, with that o line?
Personally I think the Pirate is a great offensive coach, him getting this QB is scary to me. And their recruiting class jumped up to 26th, not that far behind us. Probably a bit lower than 55 passes a game most games, and a lot will be short passes IF there is a problem.

In the sec teams can just sit in a short zone and stop Leach. With the athletes in the sec, it just shuts down those offenses. Pass rush combined with small windows.
And on D, we all know what that's like.

Was probably the best QB in the PAC in 2018 and one of the best in the country.
Guys another thing to think about is this kid has been very well coached by David Shaw.
Obviously too early to really know how things will pan out, but pre-season wise this is the leader in the clubhouse for best transfer trail pick up.
