Miles Bridges

This thread needs to be deleted. Ridiculous to give up on a recruit two weeks before he commits based a few people who are getting bad vibes.

MSU looks strong right now, but St. John's looked strong two weeks before Briscoe committed as well. Everybody just needs to sit back and let this play out.

Can you wait to whine and cry until AFTER the kid makes his choice? Do you not remember a mere 3 months ago and the Jamal Murray recruitment?

Some of you have the confidence of a Cubs fan. It's weak.

I've seen a lot of people suggest Jackson won't play college ball.

Not likely. Many are calling that proposed class one of the best ever.

???

Jackson is top 5. Bridges top 10-15. Langford is top 15-20. Winston is top 30-40. Ward is top 50.

It might be the best ever for Michigan St., but not historically in college bball.

That would be an average class for UK.

Look how it compares to UK's 2013 class:

Randle- top 5.
Harrison- top 5.
Harrison- top 10.
Young- top 10.
Johnson- top 10.
Lee- top 20.

Did you really just say "one of the best ever?"

I don't think so.

Not even close.

That would be three 5-stars and two 4-stars?! [laughing][laughing][laughing]

That wouldn't even come in the top 5 of Cal's recruiting classes here at UK big guy.

@The Server

Cal has signed....

FOUR 5 stars and TWO four stars in 2009

FOUR five stars and TWO four stars in 2010

FOUR five stars in 2011 (all ranked in the top 18)

THREE 5 stars and a 4 star in 2012

Cal had SIX 5-stars AND TWO four-stars in 2013...SIX 5-STARS!

FOUR 5-stars in 2014

And THREE 5-stars and THREE four-stars in 2015...

And you think 3 five stars and 2 four stars is one of the best classes ever?? [roll]

Not that MSU is even going to get that anyways

Should I trust you, or the experts that said what I said?

What experts are saying that? I have a hard time believing that any of the national guys have said this? You got a link? Because it's now where close to the fab five, or our 2013 class with the twins, Randle, young, Marcus Lee and Dakari Johnson. All of which were 5* recruits.

Or our 2011 class with 4 5* that included Anthony Davis

7 Final Fours in 20 seasons at MSU, 2 Title games, 1 Title. Izzo has nothing else to prove but to get that 2nd National Title.

I didn't realize that was the discussion...

I thought we were discussing your claim of "one of the greatest classes ever"

Not to sound like sour grapes but if you Tom Izzo has had players that were supposed to be great coming out of high school that were decent in college but did not reach anywhere close to expectations.
His early Final Four teams with Mateen Cleaves and Morris Peterson featured players that were great in college but besides Peterson didn't do much in the pros.
Jason Richardson and Zach Randolph loved up to the hype.
The 2005 team that beat Kentucky featured guys like Paul Davis and Kelvin Torbert who were top 5 guys that never quite lived up to expectations.
Shannon Brown was pretty good.
The teams in 2009 and 2010 were probably his best coaches as he lacked the McDonald's All American and top tier high school talent.
Izzo is a good coach but he might get to much credit as his teams usually underachieve early in the year then get better once the tournament rolls around.

Izzo leads 7-6.. I'd bet Cal gets to 10 way faster than Izzo..
How long Cal has been coaching? How long as Izzo? And it's not like Izzo wasn't the only game in town either, remember there is a school 45 Miles southeast of where he is at that had basketball success as well.

If Cal is a great of a coach as Izzo, would Cal get that 7 seed MSU squad to the Final Four last year?

Your storytelling might work on boards where people are ignorant about recruiting but that garbage isn't going to work here. UK fans follow recruiting harder and more thoroughly than any other college basketball fan base. Nice example [roll]

He did you one better, just a season before as a matter of fact. In a far tougher region too.

It also appears that a fan base who scoff's at a coach's 7 Final Fours shouldn't be taken seriously either.

Man, the trolling is heavy these days. Bunch of rival fans with 3rd grade knowledge.

Frankly I'm just tired of hearing how we're "leading", "a lock", or "would be shocked if a kid went elsewhere" from analysts, some respected for some reason, for months only to see the kid go elsewhere.

We get more than our share obviously but it's clear to me if you're paying these websites for recruiting info you could save your money and just buy a toy 8 ball and have just as good a chance at being right as some of these guys.
Please stop following recruiting and please stop posting.
This is the kind of trash that makes a look stupid. Kid hasn't even accounted and won't for two weeks and you jump off a frickin cliff because Matt jones has a bad feeling????? Are you frickin kidding me?
you can'take this stuff up.
Watch bridges announce for UK on the 3rd.

Izzo is a great coach. That's true. I give him credit. I just think right now UK basketball is so clearly a better choice than any program out there with the exception of Duke(I liked you until you made me say this *barfs*), for a blue chip progress that these decision just completely befuddle me.

An 8 seed admittedly loaded with talent. That 7 seed MSU squad had no where close to the talent that 2014 UK team had. Dawson was a 5 star, and 2 4 stars in Javon Bess, who redshirted, and Denzel Valentine.

It's more than life than basketball, and that is what Izzo sells. Many top recruits don't like or buy into Izzo's blunt honesty, but that is also why many people like him as well. You go to MSU, you are expected to do a lot outside of basketball.

That bracket completely opened up for MSU. All the good teams got upset early and MSU got to play a bunch of average teams.

UofL was the toughest opponent MSU played in their bracket and that's saying very little. It wasn't some miracle coaching that got MSU to the Final 4. It was the luck of the draw.

Not to mention, Cal just took an 8 seed to the title game in one of the toughest of brackets. Other than the 8/9 game, every team UK played was a 4 seed or lower.

Man, this Server dude is all over the place with his posts. He is either tweaking on something or he is like 12.

Switch to decaf, dude. Maybe then you can put together a string of coherent thoughts.

Not only that but all 4 teams we played in that region had head coaches with final fours. Weber in 2005 at Illinois, Marshall the season before, Pitino has 7 at 3 different programs and Beilein the year before.

And those last 3 teams were all in the final four the previous season and strong contenders to make a return trip.

That 2014 run was incredible in so many ways.

UVA was a 2, OU was the 3, UL was the 4. I'll give you Nova since they were the 1 and lost to NC State, but man be accurate. Their bracket did not open up like you want to believe.
