Miles Bridges

well Bridges hasn't committed anywhere yet, but that's kinda what everyone wants to know.

You can make long lists of the great PGs, Cs, and PFs Cal has signed and sent to the NBA. A slightly smaller list would be SGs. Then there's SFs. He's recruited MKG and that's about it.

and MKG just resigned for $45-50 million on his 2nd contract?

Like I said, these players coming out now are allergic to NBA lottery money.

I swear to Christ I could be a nobody, come on here and post something that leaves a little doubt about a recruit and most on here run for the cliffs. It is comical. He hasn't even said a word and doesn't announce for 2 weeks!!!! And Matt Jones (who is the last guy we should listen to for recruiting) puts out a tweet that doesn't sound encouraging and everyone freaks out.
Cal wins lots more than he losses, and this is a kid who has said in the past he likes that Cal gets his guys ready for the league in a year. That will win out over playing at home. More times than not these kids understand what is at stake, especially when they can realistically be in the league in a year. I am still going with bridges to uk.

Or you can do what Florida did in 06-09, 2 titles in each sport.
If UK hoops was the same, and UKs football program was at the current state of Michigan States football program (#2/3),you would be happy/bragging/gleeful right now and rightfully so.
Just not on MSU's message board. We don't seek attention and acceptance like you're doing here.

May be open for SF, but you have to sell him that Mulder, Matthews, Murray, Briscoe, Ullis plus the fact Cal is going after Fox and Monk won't all be there competing for time.

???

Bridges is worried about Briscoe, Ulis, Murray and Fox? Not to mention the other guys that are clearly guards? Maybe it's the misspellings or the incoherent wording, but I"m not following your post.

Could run a three guard line-up putting his best most experienced players on the court. He'd have to compete for playing time with all that talent ahead of him. Sure, all of them could go into the draft next year (except Monk and Fox, obviously), but it is a hard sell to make.

Fox will start at the 1. Monk at the 2.

Ulis, Briscoe, and Murray will be in the NBA most likely.

Mulder and Matthews will be reserves.

Bridges starts at the 3, from day one. No question.

That's what you expect, but you cannot guarantee that will happen. That's what Cal has to sell. Bridges has to believe these kids will not be at Kentucky competing for time.

True.

But it doesn't matter, Bridges knows he starts from day one at the 3 spot. We won't have all of those guys here, anyway. At least one or two will leave or choose to go elsewhere if those guys come back.

Besides, he can commit and not sign a LOI. Cal told Briscoe not to sign until it was clear that every one was leaving, but Briscoe did anyway.

All he has to do is sign scholarship papers and show up this summer or if everyone is back, then go elsewhere.

You're using hypotheticals to make a point. People said it would be a hard sell to Wall since Bledsoe was on board, and Murray when Ulis and Briscoe was on board.

You're basically discounting Bridges on wanting to compete for playing time with players that don't play his position. That's a lame duck angle and frankly, quite stupid.

Murray is projected as a top 3-4 pick,, Briscoe top 20,, both without a doubt gone already.. Ulis is also possibly gone as Cal already stated he thinks he'll go.. Not much of a sell on a guaranteed spot for him..

True. But so was Poythress, Andrew H., Selden, Alexander before they played a game of college basketball. Then they weren't.

Hypothetical, yes. It is also hypothetical to assume that certain players are going to be drafted prior to playing a game of college ball. Until actuals happen, isn't everything hypothetical?

You're trying too hard in a conversation that has nothing to do with KU. aka trolling.

Ulis and Briscoe would effect Fox and Monk, not Bridges.

Fox at the 1. Monk at the 2. Bridges at the 3.

Ulis at the 1. Briscoe at the 2. Bridges at the 3.

It's very unlikely Murray comes back.

Oh look, more Kansas and Duke fans telling us their opinions about our program. How wonderfully irrelevant.

So the default "you're trolling" when you don't have a legitimate argument to counter my point? Classic. Note I didn't say he wouldn't commit to Kentucky, just pointed out your logic is flawed.

Matt Jones is the last guy we should listen to on recruiting? Really? Can you elaborate some? Kinda hard to dismiss that he has some of the best sources. Some people on here are real butthurt for Matt and I just don't get it. How can the guy NOT have legit sources? He runs THE UK website for recruiting, was handpicked by Calipari to travel the state with him I'm the RV state tour, and is on the freakin UK radio team that used to host Cawood Ledford. There is not many people that can say they are that connected. I'm sorry but he is one of the first guys that I'm listening to for recruiting. He may not talk to Cal personally but I'd bet it's pretty damn close and not too far down the pipeline. I don't personally know him but just use your logic, and logic says that I should listen to him. His tweet say a lot. Evidently, people close to the program felt REALLY REALLY good about Miles up until his visit. It's not over by any stretch and we all know recruitmen's go through up and downs but at this moment in time, looks like the visit to MSU has effected Bridges and his decision. Now, it's up to Cal to effect him again and make him realize that it's a basketball decision and business decision, not a MSU football decision. That's it.

To say Matt Jones is the last person we should listen to is just a REALLY STUPID statement . You lost all credibility with that .

I think the point may be with Matt Jones that - yes - he probably does get some inside information - but if you want to put some misleading info out there to generate a little drama about a recruitment - who better than through Matt Jones?

In other words, you can't always take what Jones says at face value.

i fill same way
Jerry Meyer says he has not seen or heard anything that leads him to believe that UK is not still Bridges destination...FWIW.

Hope Meyer is right on Bridges!
