Men who chose to not have children, how did it go?

Pretty sure I know why you two aren't having any kids. Get a hotel room and have it out already đŸ˜‚

Kids are tough, probably the hardest thing I've done. The rewards far outweigh the difficulties though.
Pretty sure you don't know a thing. Freedom to be able to pivot to a different woman at any given time with no repurcussions or living the last 30-40 years of your life with an old one that you have zero attraction to. Have fun with that. While you are telling the internet that she's 65 but looks 35, the rest of us will see 65. Period.

There's nothing wrong at all with having kids, but erroneously calling someone gay because they don't want to be stuck for life with one person makes you look unhappy and bitter. And sure you could get a divorce but many of us don't want to go through all of that just to have kids. Dogs are much easier.

No disrespect taken. I think being a father is much like lifting weights. If you’re not willing to go to war and get in the trenches to do those things, don’t do them cause the results won’t be of high quality

(Double bicep flex)
I lift weight, but only my own. đŸ’ª :p Actually, I use the total gym so, literally lifting my own weight. and I am a father. Man, I must be killing it.

When people like you are so nasty about it being done your way or that you're a "real man", it only validates their reason to avoid your situation. NOBODY would be so nasty if they were really happy. Sux for you.

Dang dude, it was not meant that way. Chill

My wife is 67 and looks 35. Believe it or not. I could not care less, I am thankful as my wife is nicer than she looks and she's a looker and can cook. I'd post her pic in a heart beat but too many weirdo's on this site. I am God-given lucky and Blessed....

I’m 48 and my wife and I have been married 17 years and have a 9yo son. I wish we would have had a second, but I also want to retire by 60, so we decided to stick with one.

Having him later worked great for us, as it allowed us to have 8 years of just the 2 of us to do a lot and also allowed us to advance in our careers so we could provide a great life for our son, while also putting money away for our retirement goal.

No right or wrong answer to this one….our approach worked out really well for us….and him.

You using chuck Norris' total gym is totally on brand. Of all the people i "know" (virtually or otherwise), I am guessing you are the closest to chuck Norris.

Even though its in jest, I do also mean that as a legit compliment.

lol yeah, first time I’ve been called that

I have no issue getting women, never have. I find most women are great. I just know of a lot of men that complain about the type I mentioned. Looking for a traditional woman these days is gonna be hard

Eastern European women.

Not Czech, Russian, some others like Ukrainian aremuch more likely to be "___s", though there are exceptions of course: everyone's an individual, but that's your best 'bet." I think you are screwed with American women, no offense. If you didn't lock one down earlier in the game, you're gonna be dealing with baggage that leads to ruination.

I am a 6th-degree black belt in Kyokushin and Shotokan, and a third-degree black belt in Tang So Do which is Chuck Norris's style. While never at his level of talent or anywhere near as good, I have competed in tournaments many years ago and still train and help teach once a week with my old instructor. It is the exercising and stretching that has helped me continue to play softball (albeit beer leagues) at 67 years old in the city leagues in Lawton OK.

The best thing for me about the total gym is the stretch and the ease of moving from one exercise to the other. While not building body building type muscles, you can bulk up enough to get some size.

I’m a big fan of Latinas for this reason. Used to live in New Mexico. Been thinking about going back to the southwest. Maybe south or west Texas

I think they’re very attractive and they’re very down to earth a lot of times

It's true. A buddy has a wife from Greece and she's basically built the same way a lot of our mothers were built from the 70s and before: they take care of the house to the fullest. They cook and clean. They have a general sense of how to get certain things done. They didn't spend their free time watching hours and hours of Bravo and the Kardashians. They aren't as helpless as American women.

I love my wife, but I often joke that she came out of the oven a little too early. Needed more time to bake. There's just a lot of life skills that are lacking from modern women. And honestly I bet that applies to men as well.. but the slight difference there is that I don't have time to learn wood working, because I'm walking the dog, cooking meals, helping clean, etc.

It was a joke, hence the laughing emoji. Guess it hit too close to home though đŸ¤·

We've gotten soft as a society. A lot of husbands have ceased enforcing the " no fat chicks" policy.

As a rule, if she's going to be bitchy, she had better be easy on the eyes doing it.

I agree with this. I have dated women in the past (not many) who were not fat but plump and only because they were nice and easy to get along with. A heavy-set woman with a great personality is better than a good-looking woman that nags and is bitchy all of the time. Karen like in their approach to things. You can always help the heavier ones with exercise. Bitches can only be helped by kicking them to the curb.

A mean, fat wife is 100 percent turd in a punch bowl wherever she lands

Didn’t get married til 37. Didn’t have a kid til 40. Never thought I’d do either.

For me, both the single and DINK life were more fun, but life with a family is more fulfilling. To each their own though.

Had a fantastic DINK life. Had a kid at 37. Life is just as great, just different. Better in a lot of ways, selfishly not as good in others. Waiting allowed us to afford flexibility in schooling and careers we wouldn’t have had otherwise.

Some days I wish we had another, but getting started at 37 increases all sorts of risk factors we weren’t willing to take on.

Don’t have kids if you won’t be a good parent. Money is not the key to a successful family. Selflessness is. Love for others is how families work well. Love of self gets in the way and causes pain. Most cannot eliminate love of self, but being consciously serving makes it work.

That said, and I was certainly often selfish, I cannot imagine not having kids. I love my family. My kids are awesome. I get great enjoyment out of them as adults. I would trade my life for theirs.

Now that they are independent and doing better than I did at their ages, my wife and I do the couple things and it is great. We have not hoarded wealth, but that is only an issue when I let envy and self-pity creep in.

Thanks for this thread. It is a good reminder to me of the gratitude I have.

This is by no means a comment about those who do not have kids. Just a comment about my life and the joy it has provided.

I'm just going by his own words. He might be the best guy in the world but when you're online on Christmas Eve complaining that women are tatted up/boss bitch types who are very promiscuous and usually liberal, that's a red flag. Sorry, but it is. It's a weird view on an entire generation of women and most women seeing that as a view taken by a man wouldn't suddenly flock to him. Women usually don't like to be called promiscuous boss bitches, right?

He also "loved" a post earlier of someone saying their grandmother had several children because it needed to be that way. So you've got a 34 year old saying women are boss bitch whores with tats and he seems to agree that women need to have several children. Do women usually enjoy a man seeing them as breeders because that's how things might've been in the 1940s?

Outdated and/or bitter views towards women. That's what I saw so I pointed it out. Nothing more. If you're online, on Christmas Eve no less, calling a generation of the opposite sex insults, that's just an odd, red flag to me. Carry on.

Christmas Day post ^^^. đŸ˜†

My wife is medically unable to have children. Found out in her late 20s. We were bummed for a while, but accepted it and are now loving it two decades later.

Pros: Our time and money is ours. We can do what we want when we want and don’t have to filter ourselves. I could sleep in every day if I wanted to. Can do the sex all we want without worry of an oops.

Cons: Nobody to wipe my ass or look out for me when old if my wife goes before me.

Absolutely, but wives as well are just as ill-prepared for adulthood. The other day my wife said "if I have to host Christmas, I'm certainly not cooking!".. yet my mom was able to host 25 people at times, with a little JD in hand, and had almost no help. It's a different world now. So now for next year, I need to learn how to make Christmas dinner. And this isnt to bash my wife, this is a LOT of women born in the 80s and later. Talk to any man in his 30s that's married and he will likely tell you a similar story.

Theres alsp the aspect that we were not prepared for women to enter the workforce. Forever it was pretty much the man worked a job and the woman stayed him to raise the kids, cook, clean etc. Now both have to work, and that has sort of forced men to take on a bigger role in parenting, while also meaning women just can't do ALL of the household chores
Been this way for a long time.

There will always be someone there who can wipe your ass, it just depends on how much money you are willing to pay them as to whether there will be any dingleberries left or not. ;)

I married a woman 16 years younger than me who also worked a couple of years in a nursing home, so I got that going for me which is nice.
